Ionic stuck on 0% and won't charge

My ionic was working great and then the battery died the other day. I plugged it in to charge and came back a few hours later and it still says 0% when you press a button. It has now been on charge for 3 days and still says 0%. I have tried wall chargers and running it off the laptop USB but still nothing! I can't reset or do anything as there is no battery life! Help!

Yes, very frustrating. My first tracker broke after less than 9 months, the replacement broke after less than 2 months.

After charging for 24 hours the 0% battery sign is now gone and the screen stays black altogether. Pressing the soft reset buttons for 15 seconds while charging sometimes brings up the Fitbit logo but the tracker won't start. More often than the screen stays black. I guess the replacement tracker was a refurbished one that now shows its original problems again.

All very, very annoying. I wish I would have read the forums before purchasing the Ionic. I wonder how long the 3rd tracker will last.

Good luck with your third one. My 3rd lasted 7 months and the stopped charging like the 2nd replacement. Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

Ouch! I wonder if the replacements are refurbished trackers that sooner or latter show their old problems again...?

I will wait for one more replacement - if I get one that is. Reaching the tail end of my 1 year warranty anyway and won't spend any money on another Fitbit.

Which Garmin did you go for if I may ask? I am looking for one suitable for running and mountain biking.

My Ionic will not charge. Having read through this thread I tried a factory reset while the Ionic was plugged into my PC. Now, when I power up (pressing the left button and the bottom right button), I get a message saying Data not cleared. Sync and try again. There is a large X above the message but pressing it does nothing. I cannot Sync because the Ionic is not recognized by the app. Any ideas?

Reload the app

The problem is that the app, even when reloaded, cannot communicate with the Ionic because the Ionic is stuck on that error message.

Let me know if you have any luck and I will do the same if I manage to get it sorted out.

Hi having a very similar issue here for over a week now. 0% at first but now won’t even power on while on charge, no lights, no nothing.

Have tried through PC and direct to the wall, the reset (back & bottom buttons) isn’t helping either.

is there anything else I can try before contacting customer support?

thanks,

Chris

Thanks Fitbit,
Yes I have tried various usb ports with no difference, after trying every
and all suggestions from this forum there was still no success,
I then looked at various YouTube videos and one suggested pressing ALL
buttons at once for 10-15 seconds and then it started up and charged,
I am VERY concerned about the future of my new Ionic after reading all of
the issues with it.

I have also been going thru frustration with my Ionic.  I was out in the rain when it went dead and now only read 0% charge.  Customer support was anything but and having tried a reset etc the best they can say is that the software is not updated. Duh. I can't do that as no charge.  Is there any remedy to this apparent hardware or software issue? Or is the advice to buy a different manufacturers products?

I gave us this weekend after days of trying every suggestion I could find on the web. CS says reload the app/remove the Ionic from the app and then connect it again. But with 0 battery life the app can't re-connect. My Apple Watch arrives Wednesday.
