My ionic was working great and then the battery died the other day. I plugged it in to charge and came back a few hours later and it still says 0% when you press a button. It has now been on charge for 3 days and still says 0%. I have tried wall chargers and running it off the laptop USB but still nothing! I can't reset or do anything as there is no battery life! Help!

What? If the device is stuck at 0% then you can't get to the setting icon to perform a shutdown. This is the most ridiculous post, are you serious?

My watch is stuck at 0% and will not charge. I have tried every suggestion. How do I return since it is still under warranty?

Actually you can! When plugged into charger the whole screen can pop up so even tho says 0% it allowed me to go to settings and attempt factory reset.

I was concerned with my Ionic not charging and failing to start up after a 3 week holiday and leaving it home and flat. After reading a few different posts, here's what worked for me.
Just do the basics first and make sure your contacts are clean and dry. Connect the charge cable to the watch but DO NOT turn it on at the power supply. Leave it sit and remained connected (but turned off) over night. I know you will be tempted to make a short-cut here and rush it (that's what I did the first time), but don't fall for it because it won't work. In the morning flick the power on to the charger and odds are you'll see it commence charging straight away.
Good luck!

My did the same.bi have tried everything. I called Fitbit and they said they would give me 25% off a new device. But, this is my 3rd one doing the same thing. I don't know if I should trust the ionic again.

Mine is doing the same thing. The first time I bought a new charging cord. I got it to recharge once and now it is totally dead. Even plugged in I cant get it to do anything. So frustrating because it was expensive !!!

Fitbit baited and switched me.
my 2nd ionic died and will not charge. The 1st one totally died and never came back on. 2nd is stuck at 0%. I’ve attempted everything in this thread.only thing it gained me was to reset the ionic but now I’m back to the hello screen without enough charge to continue. So I’m stuck at 0% at the hello screen.
Customer service would not replace it again and finally offered 40% off, plus free overnight shipping and a extra band. Now that I’ve placed the order as instructed, I was told that they should have never offered the 40% and I will not get the free shipping. Nothing they could do about it. POOR SERVICE\BAD FITBIT.

After three "save from 0%" attempts and posting a solution on this site, I finally gave up. Mine finally was not able to come back to life despite every trick and tip. Luckily I bought at Sams Club and got the $29.99 warranty. After doing lots of research I will not be getting another Fitbit smart watch. I did get the Charge 3 tracker that seems to work quite well with a 7 day battery, water proof, uses same app so I didn't lose any history and was half of the cost. I still believe the problem is programming issue with firmware and updates. Mine was charged 50% and 70% at night several times when it died and would hold a charge nicely without any battery issues. Was 14 months old when returned for a full refund.

My ionic was very low in charge. I used to usb and connected to my laptop. Half hour later my ionic was off. I've cleaned the terminals. It's been charging for a few hours now and I still can't turn it on. Even after trying the suggestions on here. My ionic is only a few months old. Karen
