My ionic was working great and then the battery died the other day. I plugged it in to charge and came back a few hours later and it still says 0% when you press a button. It has now been on charge for 3 days and still says 0%. I have tried wall chargers and running it off the laptop USB but still nothing! I can't reset or do anything as there is no battery life! Help!

Call Tech Support and see if they can get it to turn on for you.  If defective they should replace it.  Many devices have been replaced due to manufacturing flaws.  It is the nature of this product as seen readily on this forum.  There should be simply “zero tolerance” for any defective products sold.  So do not suffer with one.

Get a replacement that works as expected.  Or get a refund of your money paid.

Really there is no need to suffer in Frustration - simply call Tech Support at 877-623-4997 and get your Ionic replaced right now while you can
Many have followed this straightforward advice and now have a replacement Ionic - we all should have “zero tolerance” for any defective Ionic

BEWARE OF RETURNING! They just send refurbished pieces of crap that end up crapping out again. I have gone through 3 Ionics and now mine is acting up. Fitbit needs to figure this out and get it together! Obviously I am frustrated.

I see that this issue happened to some people almost a year ago. I bought my Fitbit during Black Friday last year and have had a few problems in the beginning when the bands won"t latch automatically. I had to get a new unit that finally worked until today.

My ionic got discharged last night and I forgot to charge it right away. This evening, I plugged it in to a compter's USB and saw it was changing and got a 15% battery status but the screen has not turned on. I left it charging for almost an hour but my Ionic is just dead. I tried all the reset suggestions and nothing worked. I even tried charging it through the wall charger but still didn't work. Please advise.

This is a less than mediocre tip and response short of do three Hail
Marries.
If the battery does not charge, most likely the watch is discharged and one
cannot get to face changing menu and it has nothing to do with blown
charging circuit that is a known culprit in these watches.
There are set of serious steps trying to get the factory reset, and after
that request for replacement but please don’t do silly advise that does not
help. I already had two replacements, and since I liked the watch, I spent
two weekends each time trying to revive these. When you cannot charge the
battery past the obvious steps that you can find on the community pages, if
you have warranty or not, contact the real support. I wish it was possible
to open this watch and modify the blown charging circuit and batteries. I
would be getting rich fixing these.

Sorry if this was already mentioned earlier, but it may help to check the contacts.  My mom had a charging issue with her Ace last night and asked me for help.  I was about to do a restart, as her Ace wasn't tracking.  I went to put her tracker on the charger and noticed that it was clogged up with debris in the back, so I told her that's probably why she didn't get a charge on it at all last night.

I showed her how to do it by taking a toothpick and gently scraping around the contacts.  Lo and behold when I plugged it back in to charge, the Ace got a full charge!

They sent me a new power cord and that seems to have solved the problem

Soooooo upset got a devise that was faulty. They replaced it for bluetooth issue  the replacement had a battery issue. They replaced it with another faulty device that has the same battery issue. Now they are not warranting the replacement. Saying warranty is based in first devise. And replacement has warranty. That is not how a warranty works in the real world.

They did not offer me any fix except replace the device via me purchasing a new one even though the one that is now broke is a replacement for a broke device that I have only has for 6 months. But they give no warranty on replacements they consider the warranty based on the original device purchase. So the long and short of it is I was sold a broken device that they replaced 3 months in. Then replacement they sent had battery issues about 4 months after receiving so they sent another replacement. This one is the current on that also has battery issue. It lasted 6 months which Fitbit says puts me out of warranty and all they will do is give me a discount on a new device. I have been a long time Fitbit user and this device has been a problem for the git go and the customer service on it is VERY Lacking. Fitbit is the only industry that I have ever encountered that bases a warranty on a warranty replacement item on the purchase date of the original faulty device.

If it is an issue where the battery won't charge ask them for a new
charging cable instead. They replaced mine and I have not had any problems
since then
