I’ve only owned a Fitbit Ionic for a few months and already (without any incident) the watch face has somehow gotten a scratch. I’m not abusing or using this device in any extreme situations or conditions, though the company’s ads show this device being used during mountain biking and other intense and extreme situations.
I previously owned a Surge. Its band started to “bubble” and the company offered me a new device at 50% off (which was not 50% off—-it came out to about 30% off). I opted to purchase the Ionic but to be honest, this device isn’t what it’s advertised to be. It's not tough, it's not durable. And when i reported the issue to Fitbit, they offered me nothing except a 25% discount to buy another...fat chance.

Just bought the ionic, had a Blaze (love it) just want something waterproof. How do the screen protectors fair in the water?
Am looking to do some water based fitness classes and swimming. Thanks in advance
I've never used this particular one in water but I don't think it would fare well. For that, you'd have to get the screen and body protectors that stick on and those are out there too. That was the first thing I got.

Hello everyone! Thanks for your continuous participation on this thread regarding scratches on Ionic's screen.
Thanks to all the users that have shared no scratches experiences with Ionic and that are happy with its screen!
Also, thanks for sharing pictures across this thread. If you are experiencing scratches it would be worth trying some of the suggestions given here. Getting a screen protector is one of the suggestions I've seen here from other users; you can try that out and let me know how it goes.
Keep me posted!
