Is the Ionic's battery replaceable or is the $300.00 Smartwatch disposable?

I fix Ionic Fitbit watches. I replaced the battery my self. It now works flawlessly.

The watch is designed to be disposed of when the battery dies, if it lasts that long.

If you feel adventurous, at least in the US there is a 3rd party mob that will sell parts or even repair a watch for you.

The only response from customer service, there is no support after one year and they offered me a 30% off discount, I declined.  I did manage to get it to work, now I'm planning to get rid of it and get a Garmin as Costco.  Not going to waste my time or money with Fitbit.

Their solution is for you to buy a new watch, well the joke is on them
because I will never buy a watch like this where the battery is not
replaceable. It is a shame because I really like it.

Hi! Yes, I still had the warranty. They were taking too long to answer so I complained giving them a bad review on twitter and they answered back asking my case number and after that and several emails I sent them the watch and they sent me a new one. Everything payed by them.

That’s good to know, if I have trouble with it again I guess I’ll have to do that

I got my Ionic apart without any problems, but  it turns out the battery is dead, it won't take a charge. And at $80 plus postage for another secondhand battery, I guess it's heading for the scrap bin.

Ask me if I would ever buy a fitbit again?- Hell no- I bought a Suunto Spartan instead. Rock-solid performance, and excellent backup and warranty from the local running shop (Running Edge in Hobart).
