The left side button on my Ionic does not work. At all. In any capacity. I have restarted it, I have updated it.... I have waited for it to magically resolve itself (which seems to have worked a couple of times), but this issue has pretty much made the watch unusable. Especially since movement (turning my wrist over) is not a reliable way to get it to "turn on". Can anyone help?
I have had my Ionic since Christmas, and have experienced MANY problems. Most of them have been resolved by an update or restarting it, that isn't to say that the problems haven't been obnoxious or frustrating (like pooping out mid 50 mile bike ride), but so far they have been resolved eventually. I guess that is why I am still using it.

You need to do a Factory Reset and start all over again from the time you removed it from the box. Swipe left to Settings, then About and then Factory Reset.
