To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this issue with your Fitbit Ionic? Is your device running the latest firmware version? If you haven't already done so, please restart your Fitbti device and then check the information that's specified on our help article: How do I control music with my Fitbit device? to re-setup this feature of your Fitbit device.
