My Ionic will not sync to my phone

I have disconnected and connected my Ionic from the phone several times, uninstalled and reinstalled the Fitbit app, turned my ionic on and off several times and made sure no other fitbit device is connected and it still will not sync.

Hi, @Karena, have you checked that your phone is on the list of supported devices?  Even if it is not on the list it may work, but phones not on the list have not been confirmed to work with all features, and may not work consistently.

Has your Ionic ever synced with your phone?

Even with supported phones, occasional sync problems are fairly common.  They usually do resolve themselves within a few hours, though I know it can be frustrating.  It sounds like you have taken the usual steps and if your phone is supported it should work eventually.

One note of caution: if you have a sync problem you should really NOT disconnect your Fitbit.  Instead you should set your Fitbit up as a replacement device — just choose set up a device, choose your device, and then confirm that you wish to replace it.  Do NOT remove the device first.  That way, if it fails you still have your Fitbit connected to your account, and it should sync eventually.  Setting up as a replacement device should force a sync, so it is definitely worth tryng that.

Yes. My phone is a SAMSUNG Galaxy S9+ and is compatible.  It was syncing fine up until 2 days ago. Now I have to reboot my Fitbit in order to sync.
