Syncing has been a nightmare the past two days. I was a huge Fitbit fan but I’m rapidly losing patience. I’ve tried all the steps and suggestions, including removing my One from my account. I have the ionic and one both on my account.) After not syncing since 6 p.m. Wed., I got the stupid Ionic to sync at around 2 a.m. on Thursday with all steps intact, but 4 hours of hourly activity missing. (WTF? Steps are recorded so why not hourly goals.) Got my One to sync later that morning. All was fine, and the app showed syncs through the last time I checked it in the afternoon. At 11:30 p.m., it had reverted to data from 9 a,m., losing all steps from BOTH devices.
I’ve just spent another 90 minutes unpairing, repairing, etc. I think the issue is the sync starts, but freezes halfway through and doesn’t complete. My iPhone app will even say “synced at 2 p.m.” and show my current step count, but with that blue progress bar freezing at the halfway point, later on all data will be lost.
So far syncing through the computer app is the only thing that’s worked easily. Try downloading an app for a computer vs. a phone if you can, attach the charging cable and at least you’ll get some of your data before it crashes.
I’m going to call customer service tomorrow and hope to speak to someone about this and the inaccurate step counts (mine is under by 1500 per day so far). If they can’t fix this, it’s getting returned on Sat. and I won’t be purchasing another Fitbit.

very similar problems as reported on numerous other recent forum threads... hate to say it but don't expect any response from Fitbit personnel...they're quick to put a "welcome to the forums! glad you love your product!" responses up but problems with Syncing must be a big deal on their end because they say nothing other than occasionally posting a link to the same "how to fix sync issues" (which I believe are useless)
I hope you'll keep trying and reach out to them on phone or other means and let us know if you hear something interesting or make any progress!
