New Ionic not updating

So I bought my new Fitbit Ionic yesterday, I can’t use it without updating it but it’s not letting update it, I am using home wifi, and I left my phone on for 8 hours and it still didn’t update, this is getting really frustrating.

 

Can I even use my phone while it’s updating??

I fully agree with you but you can't even speak to a manager as they only have supervisors at fitbit. They can talk to managers but won't connect you to one or even get 1 to call you back. Absolutely bloody redicules  , and I've worked on customer service always been able to transfer you to a manager if you request it.

I have the same problem and I followed the steps you pointed too, but still couldn't update!

I have a versa and I don’t get text notifications unless “preview text”, where it shows the entire message on the phone. I’ve had it for 6 months and stopped working in October I think

This issue still persists. Can't update my new ionic for the life of me. Followed all previous advice. I guess I return it 😞

So I had this problem also with my out-the-box FitBit Ionic. The fix was even simpler than I thought. I tried all the things listed in this thread and still could NOT update. Then I checked another thread that mentioned something about checking app permissions. I set the FitBit app to have every single permission available on my Android phone and VOILA. Finally got updated. I hope this helps anyone else who was as frustrated as me.
