Hi, I have seen another post reporting the same issue but no fix detailed. My ionic syncs fine with my iPhone 6s but it be not receiving any notifications, despite being set up to do so. Apparently this is 'fixed' but I cannot find details of this fix. Thanks!

Well, this is what worked for me but I did this after following all of the OTHER troubleshooting advice provided by others earlier in this topic. I suggest that you go through each of the steps suggested. If that does not work, post your phone model, Android version, fitbit app version, and Ionic firmware version and perhaps we will see a difference that could explain your problem or connect you with someone that has the identical setup.

I think the idea is not to connect with someone who has the same setup; it's to connect with the developers to let them know of the problem.
It's quite obvious that if multiple people are having the same problem while using different devices/phones, then it's a problem with the Fitbit application and not the phone/software version.

I followed your instructions, still doesn't work

I am so sorry that the solution that worked for me is not universal, but it is one more piece of the puzzle that plagues Ionic owners (with Android phones) that I did not see documented anywhere. I hope that that Fitbit comes to the rescue, especially given their newfound relationship with Google, and make this work across all Android (and of course IOS devices) everywhere. I shared what worked for me and wish everyone still having problems with Ionic notifications the best luck in finding what is preventing it from working for them.

I seemed to have found a fix for Message +. From message plus, click on the 3 bars on top left>settings>notifications, toggle on the 'Privacy Settings'; Toggle on 'Enable Notifications i',,; toggle on; 'Enable Popup', toggle on 'Enable Popup Over L'. It's not 100%, but am now getting most text messages on Ionic.

Thank you, I've not found a message +. But I've toggled with the notifications on and off and am now receiving messages and calls but still no notification vibration. I'm a lost cause lol, don't understand all this terminology . I'll do a factory reset soon if all else fails

Making some progress. Here's what I have found:
I have 2 apps named "Messages" - one is by Samsung and the other is Google. I have been using the Samsung version since I've had the S9+. I changed my default text app to the Google version both on the phone and Fitbit app. I sent a message and got notification on both my phone and Ionic. I switched back to the Samsung version and didn't get a notification on the Ionic. Changed it back to the Google version and it worked again.
I prefer the Samsung version but will leave it on Google until Fitbit figures this out.

Where do I find notifications on my Fitbit ionic watch? I swipe to the right and nothing shows up

swipe down from the top of the ionic. If there isn't anything to display, you'll get,
"Nothing new here
You're all caught up!"

Ok I don’t think you understand. I do not receive texts on my phone. There
used to be a “notifications” button on the watch to turn on or off. I
cannot find that.
Thank you

I've done everything you've stated and I'm not getting notifications. I was just a day or so ago and then all the sudden, nothing.

SO I just discovered two additional things on my android that prevented notifications from working on my Ionic.
1) The app permissions thing - from Settings, Apps & Notifications, Sell all ### apps, Fitbit, Notifications - turn on what you want and from Permissions grant access to SMS, Phone, contacts, storage, Call Logs and Calendar at minimum.
2) Turn OFF Do not Disturb under Settings, Souind
3) From within the Fitbit app, , click on your icon (upper left corner and then your device. Turn off your notifications, reboot your phone and then return to this same place and turn on what you want.
Finally, sync your phone to the Ionic so these preferences are saved on the tracker.
Again, YMMV but this worked for me after a system update caused notifications to stop working again.

I tried everything listed here. One thing not listed that worked was on the actual Ionic itself, go to settings and turn do not disturb off. One person said on the phone, but there is also a setting like that on the watch itself.
