Restarting the Fitbit worked for me.

Yes, that’s an option. But restarting after every time it doesn’t clear is frustrating. I wish they’d figure out how to get the notifications to clear with the “clear all” option on the FitBit.

So its been close to 10 months and nothing has come about for this problem that they have freely admitted exists. I think you need to hire some new engineers. Im tired of companies just wanting to sell products without supporting them which this is clearly a case of. They are thinking lets just come out with a new Ionic 2 that will fix the problem.
This is clearly a horrible issue as its happening to me and I get confused and start to respond to text messages that I got like 2 weeks ago...then I realize that "Oh this is my stupid Ionic sending me a random notification that I got 2 weeks ago. Duh!!!"
Maybe this is why I will never buy another Fitbit but will go with a first class company that know the in's and out's of their hardware and software and how they communicate with each other. Or maybe this is why they are having financial problems and losing the race to other better companies.
And when I talk with Tech Support don't treat me like a **ahem** when I ask if this problem is going to get resolved....but know in fact...you guys are the **ahem**s.

I just had a major update on my Fitbit, and now my notifications are all clearing fine. Hopefully they are rolling out an update for everyone that fixes the issue. I’m much happier now!

That is fantastic news. Wonder how long it will take to receive it. Do you recall if there was a way of looking for a firmware update or was it just a suprise that you got it or was there a way of updating through the app? I guess you wouldnt knoAboutw what update your at? It's under Settings and About. I am on 27.33.1.30.

One day I happened to look at my app (I don’t look at it very often) and I saw a notification that I had an update. I plugged it in and charged it up and did the update. My best advice would be to keep looking at your app to see if you get a notification for an update. Or maybe you could call them and they could push it out to you?

Is there anyway you could get me the version of firmware you are running right now. At also at the top of the app page. I am running 27.33.1.30. I can approach them then.
Thanks!!

How is that fix for clearing text messages coming along? It has been 7 months since you guys first responded

I had a huge firmware update and it solved the issue. I occasionally have one or two that may not clear, but a hard reset gets rid of them.
