Number of floors is way to high

For the  last 5 weeks, the number of floors is 5 times what I am actually doing.  It appears as if it is counting every step on a flight of stairs.  Is there a fix or way to reset it.

It's great to see you around @MEmyselfandfit. Thanks for the details mentioned.

Before resetting you tracker, please check the information below: Your device uses both an accelerometer and altimeter to track floors, and registers a floor when detecting continuous motion combined with an elevation gain of about 10 feet.

Your device may give you credit for extra floors for a variety of reasons. Devices may track floors while doing everyday tasks such as opening doors, driving, or riding elevators or escalators, or from abrupt weather and atmospheric pressure changes Exposure to excess moisture can also result in extra floors. We recommend that you wear your device loosely during exercise.

Can you let me know which tracker/watch do you have?

Thanks for getting back @MEmyselfandfit. I've moved your post to the Ionic board. Can you confirm that you've checked the information posted above? Can you let me know how many floors you're receiving now and how many you were receiving before?

Keep me posted.

Sorry its been a while since I checked.Prior to the week of June 24th, I averaged about 10 floors a day.  This week alone, the average is 64.  It shows 51 floors for today. It is down from the past 2 weeks but so are my steps.  Some days it shows as many as 200 floors.
