Is it possible to show the oxygen content in our blood on the Ionic? I read somewhere that the Ionic has the Sensor for this, only the software to display is not ready yet. When will that be? Next Ionic software update or is a developer so kind to achieve this? kindest regards, kuzibri

Hi @SunsetRunner,
Not yet, and nobody here is sure of the date when the software will be released.
Also, you can visit our virtual waiting room for the SpO2 Sensor.

Thanks very much for your answer, despite the fact that the SpO2 sensor software is still not released. Eagerly awaiting that as a physician. kindest regards, kuzibri
BTW, for a first release from Fitbit of a Smartwatch, you all did a tremendously good job !! See also this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch/fitbit-watches/question-answer-thread-fitbit-ionic-t3685....
Best AnswerIs there any update on when this function will be available on the ionic? I read that the new charge 3 will have it when it's released in October. I would assume that ionic users would get it by then at the latest...hopefully.
You have heard incorrectly. That sensor is still not scheduled to be activated on the Charge 3 either.
This says it is working on the charge 3

Best AnswerMaybe so ,but they have obviously been to the press launch event ,and have been given this information there .It's not as if they have just said it's SPO2 sensor works ,they have made a big thing in the article of it working on the charge 3 ,while still not yet activated on the ionic or versa .
"The biggest news, though, is in regards to the SpO2 sensor. Like the Versa and Ionic, the Charge 3 ships with a built-in SpO2 sensor that’s finally being put to good use. Using this sensor, the Charge 3 will track your breathing patterns, which can help indicate early signs of health issues like allergies, asthma, or sleep apnea. This is pretty huge for a consumer-level fitness tracker. Sleep apnea is a very serious sleep disorder, and right now we don’t have a reliable way to track it at home. "
