my 1 year old picked up my ionic and jammed the passcode incorrectly a few times. Its now locked and my iphone 5 wont reset the passcode as it suggests. Keeps asking me to enter a new code, then it just fails.
Any ideas?
Tried removing the device and adding again but with no luck.
Have used the Fitbit studio to create a new clock face too, simple JPEG with digital clock from the quick setup if that has any bearing.
This is pretty frustrating, everything was going fine and never had it lock out before.

Hi Larry,
Thanks for the suggestions. unfortunately the reset with the 3 buttons does not fix the issue.
Account -> Ionic -> Device Lock, "blocked" is what the screen says. When selecting 'blocked' it takes me to a pin reset, which then fails.
Best AnswerOk had a look at some other threads. Found this reset process.
Remove the Ionic from your account.
Delete the bluetooth pairing.
Press and hold all buttons on the device.
Wait until the Fitbit logo disappears, then release the bottom right button.
Wait until you feel a vibration, then release the other buttons.
You will probably see a red X message, just ignore that and setup the device again.

Seems to be doing the trick and re setting up now.
Thanks for putting me on the right path. Pity the "unblock" function in the IOS app didn't work
Best AnswerSeems I'm late, where you able to get back into your Ionic?
My thought would have been to disable the passcode through the app, then try the password change.
Best AnswerDOING A HARD RESET ON YOU IONIC WATCH:
I had the same issue happen to me. I took off my Ionic watch, and when I put it back on, the passcode I know was right didn’t work and my IPhone Fitbit app passcode change option in the settings also gave me an error message.
Instead of un-installing and re-installing my Ionic watch on my app, and jumping through all of those hoops, I just had to do a “hard reset” of my watch:
1. Hold down all three buttons on your watch at the same time for at least 5 seconds, which will turn off the watch and then restart it.
2. Go to you phone’s Fitbit app and re-synch your Ionic watch.
This fixed the problem for me.
Best AnswerYou only need to hold down the left and lower right buttons. this simply restarts the tracker, a process known as a soft restart since the power is never turned off. It is not hard restart which is the shutdown that is found in the settings menu. The ionic and versa also has a true factory reset
