Since december last year I acquired the fitbit ionic as a step-up from my fitbit charge 2. To be honest now I'm thinking this was the worst decision in my life!
Not only does the ionic malfunction al the time it is really a pain in the assand is totally not worth it's money....
If the researchers at fitbit could try and fix this model instead of constantly bringing out new models they would set themselves as a more serious company where the main focus isn't ripping off every one of its customers.
I sincerly hope that my ionic will be working again soon, elseway i won't be advising anyone anymore about trying fitbit.
The problem i have right now is again a syncing problem after trying to update to the new version...
I tried both syncing on my phone ( Huawei P10 lite) and on my Imac. In both cases it mentioned there was a connection error. My phone did find my activity tracker but could not connect to it. I have also tried factory reset hoping this would solve things but again this feature made it only worse.
So in prospects for the company i sincerly hope that the new models won't have these kind of problems. Elseway your customers are just paying 300+ dollars/euros/pounds for a fancy watch ....

Don't generalize. My Ionic works great and it's the best smartwatch I ever owned.

@Arnaud95 i checked your phone on the Supported Devices List and cant see it there. I know there are a lot of problems with Huawei phones syncing with Fitbits so think that is the root of your syncing issues with that. I dont know anything about Imac's so cant comment on that at all.
For my part I think my Ionic is the best tracker I have owned, so the issues are not issues with all Ionics. That proba ly doesnt make you feel any better though ....
Edited to add I came across your other post on the same topic so have merged the two threads. Please dont double post as it is against Community Guidelines Thanks

Having nothing but problems with mine
syncing is awful
gps won’t work without me having to turn my data on and Bluetooth on my phone it just says connecting so I can’t in fact leave my phone at home
I’m burning 1000 less calories a day than I was with my charge 2 and I’m doing exactly the same every single day . Would send it back in a heartbeat if I could

For me, charging my Ionic is a pain. It refuses to connect.
