Folks, when all else fails, try resetting your Ionic. Here is how: Press and hold the left and bottom right buttons together, until the Fitbit icon appears, then release.
The reset has always worked for me when things get hookie and hopefully will for you as well!

I agree. First a re-start, if that doesn't work, a reset.

You need to hold 3 buttons not two and then it worked...

I have the Ionic, and ever since I updated the app, nothing syncs. If it does, it's a miracle. No notifications on my Fitbit like there used to be. If I get lucky while restarting, shutting off Bluetooth, turning back on, pairing and unpairing, logging off Fitbit, restarting phone - it doesn't re-sync again, and I have to go through the whole rig-a-ma-roll just to try to sync. My Ionic is 20 minutes off real time from trying to sync the darn thing. So frustrated!!! Never had this issue before, and never had it with the Alta. I am sure all occurred since the update. Wish I could roll it back!! 😞

Yes, many times!! Sometimes yes, if I plug my Fitbit into the charger.

My Fitbit Ionic was stuck for 24 hours in swim mode. Nothing I did would get it to stop and go back to the watch face. Finally I held all three buttons together and it finally went to the Fitbit icon. I have decided not to ever change my exercise mode and just use the steps because this was really an aggravation.

Hi I've had all kinds of issues with my ionic. I have factory reset but the device just displays the fitbit logo then goes off, on and off continual loop.
I have tried the soft reset but get no vibration. The device just continues to go through this cycle.
I have deleted it from my account, time to send it back?
Thanks in advance.

When the reset failure screen pops up I have had the best results by changing the clock face. Go into the app and change clock face and then voila it works...
