Hi.

My fitbit counting steps and heart rate and I am not even wearing it.

Just did the update and it did not change.

Now no buttons are working.

Di you do a hard reset or something.

If so. How do you do this?

Try this.  Go on your Ionic.  Tap the Settings gear icon.  Scroll to the bottom.  Tap About.  Scroll to the bottom.  Tap Factory Reset.

Really there is no need to suffer in Frustration - simply call Tech Support at 877-623-4997 and get your Ionic replaced right now while you can
Many have followed this straightforward advice and now have a replacement Ionic - we all should have “zero tolerance” for any defective Ionic

Thanks. I would try that but now the ionic is frozen. Can’t even scroll through or press any buttons.

Only 2 month old.

Thanks for the tip.
I just tried but the buttons and the screen are also now frozen.
Just held the bottom button and covering the back sensors to do a reset and did nothing.
Pretty frustrating.

Try doing a factory reset with the buttons then.  Hold all three buttons for about twelve seconds.  When the Fitbit logo appears, then disappears, release the bottom right button until there is a strong vibration.  If that does not turn it on contact Tech Support.  If defective they should replace it for you.  That might be your end solution.

Thanks heaps.
Tried that late last night and it’s still the same.
Buttons not working and still counting steps.
Did 80,000 steps yesterday going by the counter. Obviously not true.
Will take back to rebel sport today.
Thanks for your help.
