Syncing difficulties after update

.....anyone having major ionic problems,original watch suddenly just stopped syncing with phone,only way to sort was to constantly restart the watch and phone,most tedious and given the cost,not very acceptable,now on second watch which now tells me to download the Fitbit app to begin,,doesn't find device or sync,starting to become very disappointed in what was tipped as a game changer in smart watches,never had any problems till Fitbit sent out the updated dashboard end of summer 2019,since then fraught with issues....please help 🙂

Thanks for your post and for troubleshooting your device before posting, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which mobile device are you using to sync your Ionic? For the syncing difficulties, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your mobile device that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed.

 

Then, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes.

Hi.....thanks for taking the time to reply,my phone is a Samsung galaxy S7,and still no joy in solving the problem,at present rendered unusable as can't even get past the "download Fitbit app to get started",screen,an app that I've had and had no problems with at all till recently in almost five years,look forward to hearing from you 🙂
