Today app lost while rearranging

Hello, my fitbit recently updated firmware, causing which apps corresponded to which buttons to change. I wanted it to change back from apps I don't use to apps I use all the time, and then started moving other apps to the right to be reachable with a long press. Somehow in the process of doing this, “Today” disappeared from my apps entirely. I know it was still there after the firmware update because I had just moved it. I don’t care that I can reach the data by swiping up from the home screen; I want it back to operating with a short press of the upper right button. The app still shows up on the fitbit app on my phone, but not my fitbit itself. How do I fix it? Thanks!

Are you sure the Today app was still there after the update finished? I thought it had been replaced with the Fitbit Today "swipe up at the watch face" option? See this from @MattFitbit when the update was announced:

I don't know if it was supposed to stick around, but like I already mentioned it was still in the apps for me after the firmware update.  I used it today from the app menu and once I read about how to change what the buttons select I was able to move it around, but then it disappeared when i started dragging an app from the 2nd app screen to the 1st app screen. In the list of apps on my fitbit when using the fitbit app on my iPad or android phone it still shows up as an app I should have.

With the update the today app was removed @00hoya. As @Andrew103 has wrote it gaagbeen replaced by the Today Screen. This is explained in the release notes found pinned at the top of the Ionic board. The today screen was not seen since the update .

I still had it for a few hours post update. Not via the upper right button, only via swiping left for the apps, but I know I viewed it. The layout and coloring of the new today screen are significantly different enough that I am certain I was looking at the old one. I only lost it after I started moving apps around. Although I prefer the old layout, I could get used to the new one, but I just hate not having the shortcut button to view the day's stats. And now that I'm accessing it via swipe up, the stupid lag to reach my stats is a step backward from the old experience.

I find the swipe up lag no longer if a period then tapping the upper button .

Either way I find it pain full. It is not as responsive as the first version of the OS was. .

Sounds like you experienced some sort of bug with the today app not clearing. Unfortunately for you it seems the moving of the app corrected the bug, then the today app was removed as intended with the update.
