This is a very frustration issue as some of the time my Ionic touchscreen is functioning as it should and at other times it is unresponsive. It normally happens just before I want to start the timer on an exercise and post an update, it is no longer possible to start it with the buttons, only the screen. So I'm left with a frustrating wait until it decides to work again! I have tried resetting the device (left and bottom right buttons) but more often than not this doesn't work immediately and it's a case of continually pressing the buttons and screen until it decides to work. Is there a remedy, or is my screen at the end of its life? The watch is less than 18 months old, so I would have thought it would still be functioning properly.

Hi @PhilAngel, welcome to the Community Forums!
Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for troubleshooting your device prior to posting too, I understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to change the clock face of your Ionic device following the steps that are specified on our help article:How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device? . If this doesn't resolve your concern, please try the factory reset that was suggested by our friend @SunsetRunner and let me know how it goes.
I'll be around if you require further assistance.
Best AnswerI have tried both switching clock faces and a factory reset. This has not remedied the situation. If anything, it is now worse and even more unresponse to touch now.
Best AnswerMy touchscreen was working erratically lately as well, and after trying all of the usual fixes, I resorted to a factory reset, as suggested frequently on this forum. The result was that I now have an Ionic that does nothing but flash the Fitbit logo, on and off, until the battery dies. Not quite the feature I had in mind when purchasing this watch. Very disappointed in FitBit. This issue does not seem to be uncommon as you search through this forum.
Best AnswerThe situation has now worsened and the screen is not responding at all. I have not been able to use any functions of the watch for sometime now, I cannot even unlock it after replacing on my wrist etc.
What are the contact details for the service department so I can get it repaired/replaced? It is less than 2 years old, not exactly the shelf life I would expect for something so expensive - it's now basically just an expensive watch with a battery that dies far quicker than a normal watch. My loyalty to the brand is beginning to wane!
Best AnswerHi I'm also having this problem but I'm concerned about doing the fixes incase it makes the problem worse as described below. Is there a 2021 option for this please?
