Unable to sync device

My ionic Fitbit stopped syncing so restarted I thought it would fix. But now all I see is the Fitbit symbol and it's been like that for  hours. I even reset the Fitbit by pressing the buttons still didn't work.

Hello guys! It's a pleasure to provide assistance with the syncing difficulties experienced with your Ionic devices. Welcome to the Community Forums for both of you @Zahra36 @Mast1623.

 

@Zahra36 Seems odd that your Ionic device is only showing the Fitbit logo, thanks for troubleshooting your device prior to posting. I recommend you to try our factory reset procedure following the next steps:

 

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds. 
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive). 
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons. 
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. When the device successfully resets, please use the normal out of the box process of updating the firmware. You can check: How do I update my Fitbit device? for more details. 

 

Take in consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc. Please keep me posted. 

 

@Mast1623 Can you please let me know if your Ionic is only showing the Fitbit logo too? If so, please try the steps that were posted above, otherwise, if you're having setup difficulties please check: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes.

I ended up doing a factory reset and then I had to delete my Fitbit from
my app and then delete the app and reinstall the app that was the only way
I could sync my Fitbit and reset it but now all it does is count steps and
the heart rate does not work even when it is charging all it does is count
steps it randomly goes to an exercise and just today when I woke up it was
in the breathing app ever since the last update I have had nothing but
problems.
