Hi looking for some help!  My ionic this morning was displaying the logo, on attaching to charge is showed 0%.   After 3 hours on charge, I tried to do a factory reset and pressed all three buttons then releasing the bottom button.  The watch vibrated and shutdown but it won't come back on again.   I've watched a number of You Tube videos and tried to get it on again but sadly no joy 😞 it is totally blank.

Yep, this just happened to mine...almost exactly except I had 74% batter power left. attempted to do resets and even contacted support. support gave me 25% promo to buy another one. it was only 18 months old, so 6 months over the warranty period. others are having the same problem too. might have been the update that was pushed out too.

Funny that, I was actually trying to update it last night.  I'm not happy without it so contemplating whether to get an apple watch instead.   Seems like a lot of people have issues with the ionic.

Hi, this has happened to mine too. Does anyone know what the cause is or how it can be rectified please?

Just did a quick search of the forums, apparently this is a larger problem and its more recent too. Maybe it was the update that was "pushed". Everyone, needs to go and click the "affects me" button on those posts. I am going to try and leaving it sit for a week (to delete any residual battery power) to see if it will power on again plugged in.

I just ordered a  garmin vivoactive 3 music since its on promo on garmins website. I will not be spending  any more money with fitbit. The ionic has issues and these forums are littered with people with the same issue and all they are willing to do is offer a 25% off your next fitness watch order.

I have sorted mine. It’s been left for a day, I reset it just now and it came back to life👍🏼. Gutted, bought a Versa 2 earlier because I thought my ionic was no good.

Did that, still no dice on resetting. I'm pretty sure it is "bricked". 😞

This happened to me! My ionic didn’t even complete the update. Now it just gives me the Fitbit logo. I’ve tried the factory reset and it doesn’t even vibrate. I’m thinking it’s trashed. I bought it second hand so there is nothing I can really do. It makes me mad because I just did the update.

Apparently this happened to previous devices (Charge 2)  and the news reported it. It really is unacceptable that the software they are supposed to make these work causes the damage and you cant revert back. We are used for testing these updates. If Fitbit did their due diligence, we wouldn't be seeing mass failures across all the line of devices like versa and ionic. You read the versa forums, same exact  issues. I'm just waiting for my wifes versa to start doing it too. Support is very less than helpful as they keep referring to policy and pushing out he same canned answers that they know wont work. They know the situation, they read these forums. I'm letting mine sit a week now to see if it actually will be able to be charged. Put my wifes old Alta HR on until my garmin arrives. Its so weird, I started with a garmin, then switched to fitbit, now switching back to garmin. If I had an iPhone, I would probably just go with an apple watch. I really dont know that with the google acquisition it will get any better. Problems were way before google purchased them. Only thing that will get them to respect the customer and make it right is just for people to stop buying fitbit.

So exactly the same just been offered 25% to buy another one.   I think it's appalling, clearly the update caused the problem and there is no responsibility taken by Fitbit.

I powered mine down and tried again to restart but it's completely dead....definitely moving to Apple!
