Using Ionic and Charge 2, steps decrease when I sync

Jearlz here.  I am in San Antonio, TX.  I am 77.  Knee and ankle arthritis make walking only activity.  Would swim but only indoors because of skin cancer.

I have and utilize both a Charge 2 and an Ionic.  I use the Charge 2 at night cause smaller.  I got the Ionic for swimming, but have lost pool availability.

I have a problem and I don't know if it is the App or the Ionic/Charge 2 being on the same App.

Recorded steps of exercise as displayed on either Fitbit will be reduced when synced with Fitbit App on iPhone.  The reduction appears to be about 20%.

The problem could be the Fitbits because at times I'll walk around house and the Fitbit I am wearing will not record any steps at all!

This is not the first problem I have had with either.  Since I am out of warranty with both, I have tried to get a post into the community.  I have never been successful doing so with your site.  Directions tell me to select 'new post', except I have never seen that 'new post' selection on any page.

So I have reverted back to the 'chat' screen and the techs have tried to help, but some of the problems I've come across need further looking into.

I have even  tried to 'agree' with some of the comments I've read in the Community, but again, I've never been able to do such?!!?!!??

How would I even be able to find out if this here introduction is even looked at, mush less, see a possible solution?  Don't have any idea how this stuff works!

Am I to select the 'Reply' option below?

Thanks, but really doesn't answer my Question about how to get a 'post' of a problem into the Community for discussion, and possible solution.

@jearlz Welcome to the Fitbit Community. I moved your posts to the Ionic board to better assist you.

Thanks for the detailed information shared. It's great to hear that you're keeping yourself active.

Since you're using two devices, I'd like you to confirm that you're wearing one at a time. This to ensure that your steps sync properly to your Fitbit app, learn more about it by checking this article Can I use more than one Fitbit device with the same account?

In regards to your inquiry about posting in the Fitbit Community, the first thing you need to do is go to the board where you want to participate and select it, then click on Start a new topic button which will be found at the top of the board. Find additional instructions in this FAQ

Let me know how it goes.
