Fitbit, in conjunction with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), announced a voluntary recall of Fitbit Ionic smartwatches, which the company introduced in 2017 and stopped producing in 2020. The battery in the Ionic smartwatch can overheat, posing a burn hazard.
The health and safety of Fitbit users is our highest priority. We are taking this action out of an abundance of caution for our users. We will offer a refund to Fitbit Ionic customers.
This voluntary recall is specific to Fitbit Ionic devices. It does not impact any other Fitbit smartwatches or trackers.
If you have an impacted Fitbit Ionic device, please stop using it and visit our webpage where you’ll find:

I mailed in my Fitbit ionic to Fitbit in the beginning of March 2022. I have been on The phone trying to figure out where my rebate was numerous times. I was first told that UPS lost my package, only to just find out that UPS was only shipping bulk and they were waiting for
6 weeks to bulk ship other Fitbits to ship all to Fitbit. Fitbit received it on April 28, due to their shipping delay. I have been more than patient but I’ve called multiple times and we are now more than 16 weeks past when Fitbit received my ionic. 3 times as long as the maximum of 6 weeks it they said it would be, and around 23 weeks since I mailed it, 6 times the longest they said it would take. I had always enjoyed my Fitbit products, but with this kind of service, or I should say lack of service and terrible customer interactions I’m not sure I’ll ever own another Fitbit product again. If a company can’t hold up what they say it’s gonna be 4 to 6 weeks time and we are now looking at 23 weeks they’re either trying to rip us off or they have a severe communications problem which also indicates not a company I wanna do business with.

Hong Kong too.
I email to support team then tell me give them invoice, fitbit Ionic box and serial number,
I accept support team disable my device and wait two and a half months.
I email to support team again then tell me they didn't disable my device but my fitbit account has not connected any ionic.
Now i know they won't refund to me, and steal my ionic data.

Today for the fifth time had a phone call with the support phone line regarding the Fitbit Ionic recall action.........and for the fifth time the answer was: Your claim is in process and you will get within a week a reaction via PayPal. This is going on now since April!!!!!! I was enthusiastic about the initial diligence from Fitbit, but now my enthusiasm is completely gone.

I am also having similar problem here. Just called up Fitbit customer service and they said it's B4B problem and that I should contact their customer service. B4B does not seem to answer my calls. Just wrote an email and waiting for response. Would appreciate if anyone who has had similar problem and managed to sort it out, shares their experience.
Thanks.

I've contact the telephone number 888-240-2819 to inquire about my refund 3 times. Every time I'm being told that they will escalate my issue but still have not received my refund. This is extremely frustrating and the people answering the phone have no clue what the status is. I'd appreciate someone contacting me and letting me know what's going on.

Dear Saurabh Chauhan,
We're happy to let you know that we have approved your request to get payments from Fitbit Payments.
All payments received from Fitbit Payments will be deposited directly into your bank account, in INR.
Note that funds will be transferred to your bank account only when there is at least $19.99 ready to transfer. The minimum amount is subject to change according to the type of bank transfer involved.

My discount code hasn't worked. I've email Fitbit, called Fitbit Support, spoke with the company handling the Ionic recall, and also spoke to Fitbit Ionic Recall group (888-240-2819). This has been happening since May 4th, when I received the refund. I received the discount code on March 18th.
I got the following error - "this one-time use code has already been used or expired" Very frustrating that I couldn't get the code to work during the allotted time period. Even more frustrating that I can't get customer service to help me with the issue.
I spoke with the Fitbit Ionic Recall support team today, and it has been escalated to upper management. You would think that Fitbit could send me another discount code. However, it's not that simple. Super frustrating. I've been trying to get the issue resolved for 4 months.
We turned in 3 Ionics. I'm the only one who had the issue with the discount code. Now, I'm concerned that my $299 refund will not work or that the amount of funds will be less than $299 due to the length of time that has elapsed without redeeming.
They said to wait two weeks to get a response on the escalated issue.
