Happened to me, and resulted in a cracked watch face. Lots of folks advising to push in until you hear the click and tugging on the band to make sure it's secure, but I did both of those things (after it happened to me with no damage the first time) and still had the watch fly off. Happened after I had worn it for 4-5 hours too (including a run), so not like it was completely unsecured. Fitbit's response was to offer me a 25% discount on a new Ionic, which isn't terribly satisfying. Grrrrr.
Best AnswerI would try going one size up on the wrist band. For instance, if you wear a small sized band on the other trackers (I wear one on my Alta HR), try the large instead
