Fitbit stays my Ionic model fitness tracker is waterproof. Last year I took it on a vacation and sunk my hand into the knee deep water. My device fried, left side button fell off. Device no longer worked. I returned to Dick's sporting good and the replaced. I have had my new device for over a year and have not submerged in water again. It has worked perfectly. Given I swim , I bought this unit to assist with my workouts. So, recently I left it on while in the pool. This time button stayed on but unit again fried. Can someone tell me is this unit really waterproof? Website, sporting goods stores and friends all state this, but two units in the water and two units not working.

Hi @OCcard,
I think you are right and that there is something wrong with your device. Somehow the waterproof seal must have broken. I'm going to flag your case for moderator support to assist you further, you should be hearing from them soon.

@OCcard, welcome! Thanks for being part of our Community!
Let me help you with your unresponsive Ionic. You should be able to swim with your device as it is swimproof. I have personally got mine in pools for several hours without any issues. Still if the issue persist please let our Support team know. I noticed that you already have a ticket with them so keep working with the team to find a solution.
@DramaQueenDiva thank you for your help here.
