I got an email from fitbit support and had to restore my ionic to factory settings and set up from scratch. It worked . However battled to get the watch to pick up Wi-Fi , seems to be working now although keeps dropping connectivity
Fitbit Ionic AccuWeather not syncing. Working fine for 7-months. Just quit. Factory reset. This is an app that is already loaded and, because of GPS, knows my current location. However, the message I get is: "No location information. Go to the Fitbit mobile app to set up the weather."
After phoning Customer Service 3-times [the first 2-times I was disconnected], I was given a Return-Option of: (1) Receive another Ionic; or (2) Chose another Fitbit watch and pay 50% of the price. Since I'd already paid close to $300 for the Ionic, I chose the Ionic [perhaps a mistake]. It arrived in a small, brown envelope, and consisted of just the watch-case. Finally got it set-up, and voila, Weather returned. However, now, everyday, it has major issues with syncing. Maybe it's the Ionic that needs additional programming.
Best AnswerHave had the same for weeks now - doing everything - pairing, unpairing, setting up again etc - then it works for a day, but is gone during night - now it seems I have to do without (a pity), but it makes me crazy spending more hours trying everything again and again - it must be something that can be solved officially from Fitbit - seems to be a lot of people experiencing this.
