Thanks for stopping by @kiti, hope you're doing good! Hmmmm.... this is very strange my friend. I'd recommend the following:

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account icon > your device image.
  2. Tap Exercise Shortcuts
  3. Swipe left on Weight exercise shortcut and remove it.
  4. Log out of your Fitbit app.
  5. Force quit the app.
  6. Turn off the Bluetooth.
  7. Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  8. Turn on the Bluetooth.
  9. Log back into your Fitbit app.
  10. Tap Exercise Shortcuts.
  11. Re-add Weight shortcut by tapping the + icon and selecting it.

Give this a go and let me know if the distance is still appearing after syncing your workout!

That seems to be a temporary fix, it is constantly recurring. But I noted this time is that when you start the weight shortcut. It would crash back to the clock screen.

Is it not simply that you are walking around to different areas while doing weights?

It happens to me too the same way.

I guess it's a visualization bug, because anyway data seems to be properly recorded online. And once again, only happens with Ionic, since the same activities recorded with Blaze are displayed correctly.

It is just a display behavior. Clicking through the activity will show all the correct stats, which are also correctly counted in the daily totals.

It is displaying properly on the Windows 10 App. Sync data from Blaze is displaying accurately. Maybe an unknown bug on the Android App when used with Ionic on the Android App via shortcuts?

I tried this and it didn’t work.  I’m hoping the display stats will be changed in the next update.

@MarreFitbitcan you forward this to the android devs? It appears to be an app issue on Android.

Since upgrading tot the Fitbit Ionic, my Fitbit app show my "Weight" workouts by distance and pace (like running/treadmill) as opposed to time and calories burned, like it used to with my Charge HR and Charge 2.  Obviously, there's no such this as "distance" and "pace" in a weightlifting workout.  Is this just a glitch with the Ionic, or is there a setting to correct this?

Are you using the weight workout mode that's is on the Ionic? Or letting it do Smart track?

If smart track then I would start using the weight mode

@AlaskaJoe

First, where? What is part of the app is showing what you're saying? Have a pic you can upload?

This is what mine shows when I tap on the "x of x days weekly exercise" are, using the "Weights" exercise option on the watch:

It's a problem on the Android app. Workout, yoga and a few other modes are affected.

If you click through, the data is correct, and is calculated correctly for the daily totals, etc. It just displays like that on the activity list.

You can also view it on the Log Activity section of the web dashboard at fitbit.com.

I'm using Ionic's weight mode.

Here is what it looks like.  You can see when I did weight on Monday with my Charge 2, it gave me calories and time.  When I switched to the Ionic on Tuesday, it started logging my weights workouts by distance and pace.  Calorie and time information is still available if I click on the logged exercise, but it doesn't automatically display anymore.  I get distance and pace now, which is stupid if a weightlifting workout.

Not just Android, I am iPhone and same issue. I Googled it as it has been irritating me and was trying to find a fix. I just switched to Ionic and didn't have this issue with the Blaze

I have the same issue. It does it under Workout as well. I have gone through a few threads and it looks like this is an issue they are aware of and working on.
