Yup, I just upgraded from the charge 2 to the charge 3 and both my weights and workout activities are showing distances. My phone doesn't move at all during this time as I do not carry it on me, it is placed a few feet away on a stationary object.

Hi @jennyfur! Sorry to hear you're also experiencing this inconvenience. As mentioned along this thread, our team is working to investigate these reports further. I will post updates from the team when we hear them. In the meantime, I recommend following these steps that had helped other users.
Your understanding is truly appreciated. Let me know if there's anything else I may assist you with. ![]()

Best AnswerAny news on this fix? It has been over a year and nothing. If this is not important to Fitbit be upfront and tell us so we stop waiting for something that won't happen.
It is obvious nobody is investigating anything. Or maybe they have only one engineer hired part-time whose only help is a book "Programming for dummies". Considering that such simple issues ( add over a year old issue which is not displaying calories in Workout, pretty much sister-issue to this one ) are not getting fixed it is quite probable scenario.

Best AnswerYup! Still waiting even after iPhone app and Charge 3 updates... still the same useless display for weights, workouts etc. Is this really that hard to fix???
Best AnswerI am giving my feedback everywhere I can and advising people to not buy Fitbit. May not sound like much but I am member of multiple fitness groups on FB . Let’s all spread the word. The will start caring if the sales drop.
It’s not just this issue. I’ve had my Versa less than 12 months and now it can’t even record a GPS workout as crashes every time. FitBit tell me it’s a know iissue and just record my stuff manually. This is a basic requirement of the watch, it isn’t fit for purpose! So annoyed!
Best Answer@TSMDR this is a core issue. In Ionic they haven't fixed crashing Exercise app ( couple of months old issue, lots of complaints ). For me it crashes not only for GPS activities. I mainly log Workout only and occassionally it crashes. If I manage to feel short vibration that occurs during app crash then I have chance to restart tracking but it happened several times I found it out at the end of workout. This ( with few other issues ) pushed me to look at other trackers and after all new watch replaced Ionic ( Ionic went to my right wrist but I don't even track my workouts on it anymore unless they are autodetected ). Fitbit lost permanently one customer. Pity, I lost money on that junk but lesson learnt.

Would def call Tech Support and see if they will replace your device for no charge. If out of warranty they normally offer a discount. When defective they generally have a “zero tolerance” policy. Mine “randomly crashed” in Exercise mode and was deemed defective so was replaced right away.
Very surprised nothing was done for you. Crashing is not acceptable.
@Whistler888 I didn't bother to contact customer support. I don't want another Ionic and what would I do with the discount? With Ionic, there are plenty of other unsolved issues that new device won't solve as they are purely software based. I already bought another tracker which seems to be far superior to Ionic ( at least for now, it doesn't take much to change my mind 😄 ). The crashing issue is ( as any other ) "being investigated" and it's known. In my Ionic several things went wrong - damaged under the shower, so the display is glitchy, broken strap, recently the safety clasp started to fall off. Considering that users go through several replacements I don't think I need it. Had enough stress through December and I'm trying to relax my nerves, not boil 😄 Money lost but lesson learnt.
Fitbit won’t replace my Versa as say it’s a ‘known issue’! Maybe it depends which customer services assist one speaks to!!

Ah better understand now. If out of warranty would probs get another brand as well. Fitbit has been a tad harsh with me and many others taking down multiple posts criticizing this device. It would not surprise me much if this one was taken down as well. That simply causes a huge amount of user mistrust as we all know. But because Tech Support replaced mine without me even requesting that -> have continued to help others here for a while more. Many users now have at least another tracker by calling Tech Support direct.
Personally am not very confident this replacement will continue to work ok -> but have not had any random crashes so far. Seems the forced firmware updates cause the most problems with huge battery drain and bricking of devices. Hope your other tracker is more reliable for you.

Yep. Some are completely lost and have zero clue. Others much smarter and wiser.
Best AnswerI never had this issue on my old versa, however when that bit the dust and I got a new one, it started happening. I wonder if it could be a hardware issue?
Best Answer@MarreFitbit this has been WELL over a year of "we're working on it" when it's a simple bug. Do you have any update other than just "we're working on it"?
This is infuriatingly frustrating. I'm a few months away from leaving fitbit for good and moving to a competitor.
