Why now Zone minutes??

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have updated the software on my Ionic to find that the activity minutes tracker has been replaced by ‘zone minutes.’ My 165 minutes activity logged on Monday have disappeared and been replaced by 0 under this new banner. I don’t want to track zone minutes I need to track my actual time of activity- how can I retrieve this tracking on fitbit please? I measure and set myself goals to beat previous weeks/ days etc and now I cannot do that owing to this new update. Surely I should have been asked first if I wanted to switch or keep it the same as I would have definitely said No and keep the same. Is there any way I can reinstate activity tracker and the 165 minutes of activity I completed on Monday?

It seems that once we have updated and switched to Active Zone Minutes there's no going back. My Versa 2 updated yesterday and it is confusing but there's a good help file about them at https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1379.htm

In there it explains how to see your Active Minutes prior to the change by:

Your active minutes data is below your Active Zone Minutes data in the Fitbit app:

  1. On the Today tab tap Zone Mins.
  2. At the top, tap Week.
  3. Scroll down to see your active minutes data.

What's fun is that you also cant view your Active Zone Minutes on the clock face since there are no themes compatible with Active Zone Minutes yet.

I've also noticed that the dashboard at fitbit.com still shows active minutes and I can't find any way to change it. So, we have to use the mobile app it seems.

Thank you Steve for your response. I can view active minutes in my history feed however, this still doesn’t help with actively challenging myself to complete more minutes of activity. Effectively since the change to Zone minutes I cannot compare to last weeks activity so I am having to start allover again in tracking my activity. Also the minutes completed on Monday prior to the upgrade have been wiped off completely!

I have used fitbit now for four years and love it- but this has now put me right off- I should have been asked if I wanted to change... thanks again for the response though Steve.

Doesn't matter for me anymore. My Ionic got wet and died so it doesn't display any stats anymore lol
