I was in Florida this past weekend. Worked fine until about 12:30 Saturday (last sync) but from then on it would not connect to WiFi anywhere (hotel, Starbucks, etc). Then yesterday (Tuesday) at the airport, all of the sudden it connects and syncs!?!?

This is not good and needs to be explained/figured out! I travel way too much for it to not sync with various WiFi connections

The WiFi connection on your Ionic should not pose any issue to successful sync to your phone. That occurs over Bluetooth. WiFi on the Ionic is only utilized to sync music and perform firmware updates.

If your phone does not have a stable connection to the Internet, that could impact data sync from the Ionic since it needs to be passed on to the Fitbit cloud prior for analysis and then to be displayed in the Fitbit app on your phone.

In a nutshell; the Ionic will not sync directly to the Fitbit cloud using WiFi. It must sync through your phone.

Yes. I agree. I have had my ICON for 7 days now and have been trying to sync it to my computer so I can put PERSONAL music on it. I FINALLY found out how to get a playlist loaded, but now, on my computer, it says it is "looking for your watch". On my watch, I check to see if WiFi is on & it says WiFi off. I click connect on computer, says CONNECTING on the watch, finally connects, but as soon as notification on computer screen says "SUCCESS, watch is now connected", WiFi on watch switches back to off. UGH!!!

Anyone?

Here is what I know. The watch would not sync to the phone. Since it
would not sync I could not view any of my stats on my phone (sleep, heart
rate, etc...). I tried to manually sync and it 'could not find wifi'. Had
I been gone more than the weekend, I would have lost data. You can explain
what you think happened, but this is what happened and it is an issue that
needs resolved.
