when you are interested in development and go to the fitbit development site you can easily opt-in to the development program. In no time an update is presented to the phone/watch.
how can i opt-out of the program (while an update is still presented to the ionic)
Best AnswerI don't think you can opt out yet. The note below is from the developers getting started page.
NOTE: At this time, it is not possible to opt out of receiving the beta firmware once you have registered as a developer.
i prefer not to install the developers build.
I'm afraid the developers build will not be stable
This seems a bit off-putting, especially since the developers build is also still in beta.
It seems to be exactly the same, but with a developer bridge option in settings. Seems just as stable, haven't had any weirdness with it.
I feel like it is probably the exact same build, with the bridge feature that let's you side load test apps you are building, but of course that is just a guess. I had the same worries, but figured I'd go for it, haven't regretted it all since Friday.
Best AnswerIn the meantime i installed the update. this developers build has version is 27.30.3.2 (2017-okt-09). it works the same as the original build.
There is one thing, when i start the "Coach" shortcut it stops immediately.
Other apps (like weather) do not work either but that was the same with the original build. (it's not a topic for this discusion)
Best AnswerSounds like we're in the same boat. I was poking around and signed up as a dev just to look over the tool. According to Fitbit there isn't an optout yet. The dev version did fix a few issues I was having with delays though.
Best Answerthank you, but the coach app already worked again. it looks like there was an update a while ago.
anyone knows when the new/next (developer) build will appear?

Best AnswerIs it possible the Dev build would cause a decrease in battery life?
My battery life recently seems worse than the first couple weeks of owning the Ionic.
Best AnswerHey everyone. I need to roll back to a regular production firmware from Developer. I tried to comment my email address on the existing thread, but i could not comment. I also tried to add myself to the Google Form, but it said the form was restricted and that i didn't have permission. I need to roll back as I no longer want Developer rights. My email address is advillarreal333@gmail.com . Thank you.

@alysevillarreal, has the Fitbit app given you the opportunity to update to firmware version 31.1.16? If so, that should have you on the standard release. Also, check out the post by @ErickFitbit above.
