I have a Ionic and Im having sync trouble, it syncs to my android phone the days steps etc but no historic data and no active minutes or activities, Ive played around and eventually got it working but I have to sync from main menu not the usual refresh on the fitbit stats page. It is intermittent and driving me up the wall

You are not alone. Seems other uses are having similar issues. My Ionic syncs intermittently but luckily I do not have to remove and re-add it to my Fitbit app now. I suppose we all have to wait for another Fitbit OS update that addresses the Bluetooth issues.

I have removed the Ionic from my phones Bluetooth and reconnected it and the active minutes still don't sync. I have removed it from the Fitbit App and set it up again and now the 59 active minutes that were on the watch that I was trying to sync have disappeared completely. This is such a pain I have never had issues with any of my fitbits but if this can't be resolved I really want a refund.

I pretty much gave up until a new version of the FitBIT OS is released.

A bit of an update. I did not use my Ionic for 11 days. Left it off. About two days ago I turned on my Ionic again, sync'd it with my OnePlus 6T and now all the syncing problems seem resolved. It even connects to wifi.
Knock on wood.

My ionic often does not sync. I can get it to finally sync at least once by pluging in my ionic for a time, turning my samsung 7e off and then on, turning the bluetooth off and then on on my samsung, or other things.
I sometimes get message on samsung when i try to sync that bluetooth off on samsung, but it is on.
