Consecutive 10000 step days reset?

Does the Fitbit Luxe reset after it reaches 999 consecutive 10,000 step days? My Fitbit reset to day 1 and I was wondering if that's a limitation in the "code".

Mine has changed the step count to less than 10,000 steps at least twice, a week after the day, and after the weekly email show I reached 10,000 steps every day.  I only had 375 consecutive days. I asked Support about it; their answer was that obviously, I only had 9,994 steps that day.
