Fitbit Luxe bands keeps falling off

Having spent a lot of money to buy the fitbit Luxe SE (Sept 2021). I find both the gold strap that came with it and third party silicon straps come uncliped. To date I have managed to notice this but a time will come whn I loose the fitbit entierly. In fact I already lost it one day when gardeneing - luckily I found it. Poorly fitting bands seem to be a common complaint. An expensive device to loose - any one got any idea whether fitbit are attending to this fault?

This doesn't help at all - the issue is the wristband detaching from the device itself - frequently. Also, the 'gold' plating is very poor. I have only had my Luxe for a few months and it looks like an ancient bit of tat. Honestly, the devices are expensive and they should be of better quality for the price.

I agree. Seems Fitbit don’t care. I’ve seen lots of posts online about straps detaching . The Fitbit luxe over promises and under delivers

It had nothing to do with the way I put the strap on! I’m not sure what you can do apart from change the design!! It’s a lot of money for something that is at risk of falling off and being lost due to poor design.

I've had this issue with the charge 4. I had it replaced under warranty and now 6 months later it's happening again with the replacement one. It's a broken dongle clasp for me, not the band or how it's attached. I don't swap bands, just occasionally take it off for cleaning. Then all of a sudden it just falls off one day. I snap it back on and it keeps coming off, and won't stay on longer than a few minutes and is visibly separated. Such a bummer.

I thought there was a manufacture or design defect with the Luxe wrist band clasping mechanism, turns out for me it was "user error."

Initially I thought the wrist band magically attaches itself with a magnet and intuitive hook design. Alas, there's no magic 😱.

Pinch the band between your thumb and index finger and push the clasp toward your Luxe until you here a little click noise and your wrist band should be properly attached. Good luck, hope this helps. Enjoy your Luxe and Happy Holidays!

Mine detaches constantly.

I thought I was *treating* myself to a fancy new Fitbit but it will fall off at some point and I won’t be able to find it.

i have had it a few months now, and have had it detach at least 20 times. I generally notice instantly when the Luxe detaches from the band, but as a busy mom I don’t know if my attention will always catch the detach.

it sometimes flies off when I’m using my hands to gesture, so it’s not like I’m tugging and pulling on it hard.

Very very frustrating.

I’ve been a loyal FitBit wearer for years but this Luxe has a major defect and it hasn’t been addressed by FitBit corporate.
I’m not going to buy any more FitBit products after this, and I suggest people save their $$ and don’t buy the luxe with gold band.

Hi. I’m definitely putting it on properly. Clearly Fitbit have messed up with the design. Lost it yesterday, gardening. At least I was able to find it. But it fell off a further  twice - all over a 2- hour period  .  It’s ridiculous that Fitbit don’t acknowledge and fix the fault and offer to replace  faulty design models. So many people are complaining about this problem

I Absolutely agree I too am a busy mom and spend a lot of time gardening,  one day I’m sure I will just lose it all together. I think this is negligent from Fitbit I too have been a loyal customer of Fitbit for years I won’t be buying Fitbit again. I spent age is deciding whether to treat myself

By buying this expensive watch,now I wish I hadn’t

Bought mine 2 days ago and it just fell off. But that was after I changed the small strap to the large one. I thought I just hadn't connected it right so I put it on again. And it just came undone again. So I went online to see if this problem wan endemic to the luxe model. Apparently so, but after I read the posts again and screwed around with the band trying to get it to connect I "think" I finally solved the problem. The click you need to hear is exactly that...a Click. Just heard it now so I will wear the watch again for a few days just inside the house and if it comes undone again I'll let you know. I'm hoping it just takes some getting used to and knowing what the click sounds like and feels like.

This is definitely a design defect, as it comes loose even after positive click/latch.

The workaround I came up with (until Fitbit fixes the design defect) for the Luxe Gorjana I bought my wife is to loop/knot a piece of thread across the back looped around both ends of the strap/bracelet.  It is basically invisible when worn, and since it is very thin, she doesn't notice the thread on the back, and it doesn't appear to affect the sensors due to the thinness.  You could use 2 threads, one on each side on the back for even more secure attachment.  Then, when the latch inevitably comes loose, the strap will stay on your wrist, and you should notice the Luxe moving freely on your wrist before the thread breaks.  You can pick invisible (clear) or color matched thread to make it even less likely to be visible.

The latch just came loose today on its own, and the thread kept the Luxe and band from falling off her wrist, so I can confirm the workaround works.

I love how the “best answer” posted comes from the Fitbit moderator 🙄

My Luxe (pre-ordered with the Fitbit stainless steel chain bracelet) has never stayed together properly. It disconnects and falls off constantly. For something that is so expensive you’d think they’d have more to say than to check out their posts on how to wear it.
The more I wear it, the more it falls off. Since there is no way to find it if it falls off and I won’t wear it with the rubber straps it comes with, I finally super glued it today. Hope that does the trick since Fitbit had no solution.

Thank you!!!! Doing this.

This doesn't really address the issue which is common through every post in this thread. Can we please have a real answer from FitBit?
