Having spent a lot of money to buy the fitbit Luxe SE (Sept 2021). I find both the gold strap that came with it and third party silicon straps come uncliped. To date I have managed to notice this but a time will come whn I loose the fitbit entierly. In fact I already lost it one day when gardeneing - luckily I found it. Poorly fitting bands seem to be a common complaint. An expensive device to loose - any one got any idea whether fitbit are attending to this fault?

I finally got mine to stay on. Super glue! Yes I got so frustrated I super glued it. I won't be able to ever change the band but it hasn't fallen off again.

Thanks for your post, I finally found a workaround as well. Immediately after reading a few responses that this is a design flaw, I was searching for a workaround solution. Based on your idea, I use a tiny clear hair elastic band and just tie it around the watch. Alternatively, tie it around the ends and it was invisible underneath but both top ends seem to leave gaps a bit due to the band pulling direction.

Unfortunately, I have the same problem and after contacting Customer Support, sending my Fitbit and all accessories in the original packaging and waiting patiently, I got told I was getting a replacement but I got the same Luxe with the same problem - only this time in both clasps as opposed to just one. I am not sure how they fiddled with the clasps to try to fix the problem but they made it worse and it already unclasped once. My Luxe was purchased 2,5 months ago and it seems terribly overpriced if such a basic problem is so widely spread amongst users of this product. Overall, quite disappointing. Makes me wish I had purchased a cheaper version and replaced the strap with something off Amazon. Please fix this, I like Fitbit but this is bad.
By the way, each accessory came back in a separate package - all they were still mine, as evidenced by the Gorjana strap setup I had previously done. Obviously this isn't an issue but it is worthy of mention in my opinion.

I have a gorana fitbit luxe and it continually falls off... I lost it about 3 months ago. Called fitbit and they said it is NOT a problem. Finally they gave me 35% off a new one. there is a defect that the strap is too heavy and pulls out of the watch. Fitbit..... do you know this??
With my new one (needed a gold band), I have it much tighter on my wrist and is a little better with falling off.

Same me too... lost it.... after 5 contacts via text and email... they finally gave me 35% off a new one. but they should have replaced it.

I posted on here months ago with the same problem, the watch was constantly falling off.
I’ve discovered a bandaid fix that works for me. I tape the inside with black electrical tape, which lasts about 1-week and then I re-tape it as needed with fresh tape. See photo attached. Electrical tape is black, semi water resistant, and flexible so it works great on the watch, it’s not very noticeable, and doesn’t bother my skin either.
I find it unfathomable that the Fitbit company can’t come up with a solution to fix their own faulty watch they produced, let alone acknowledge the problem with their customers.
I hope this temporary fix for me will also be useful to you and the Fitbit community that shares this problem.
Thanks,
JazzKat

I tried super glue. It came out about a week later, but I glued it again and it has stayed together since - even after showering or swimming. Not convenient if you want to change bands, but it has held up for me.

Wow. It is September 18. I received my new Luxe Special Edition around September 16. I haven't even attempted to size it or to swap in the bracelet for the Peony band it came with.
Based on all these comments, I intend to return the device to Fitbit and ask for a refund, NOT a credit toward a new Luxe.
There doesn't seem to be any point in wasting my time and energy on what appears to be a design flaw.
Maybe it's time for an Apple Watch.

I’m thinking the same…I may change to the Apple Watch now. I’ve had fitbits for years but I got a new luxe and band after it kept falling off but I haven’t even put the new band on it as I know it will fall off!! Lots of money for something to sit in its box!!!

I agree Its an expensive piece of kit to loose. Lost it and found it twice in the garden yesterday. Not impressed.

How is this the best answer?? I have the same issue. For about 9 months, no issues. Now one side just falls off anytime the band is pulled in the direction of the release button. As far as I can tell, the best answer is either super glue, a clear tiny hairband, or changing brands. It seems like changing brands will be the long term solution for most.

My Girl Friend is not happy with me. I went and got what thought was a a very luxurious present the Luxe with the gorjana band. Well that band kept falling off. After attaching the band would give a gentle pull to make sure it was secure and it was, but a few hours latter and off it came. Thinking it was the watch was about to return it but decided to try the stock band that came with it. Well the stock band worked but only a little bit better. Now it only falls off once a day instead of the 20 times a day. She is not at all happy, now instead of a dress watch she has a run of the mill watch. Fitbit has a problem with their design. Order placed on 10/9/2022.

I agree, I thought it was a band issue, but have figured out it is a clasp issue. I cannot where the silicone bands due to eczema. They irritate my skin, so I have to use other bands

They do not seem to care either! Complaints go back to the original release date.

TBH they’ve replaced my watch 3 times once without the nice gold strap just the silicon one - but the problem starts happening again approx 6- months after wearing . The only reason I persist with it is because I like that it’s small and looks like a piece of jewellery rather than a huge computer strapped to your wrist !

My Fitbit Luxe stainless steel mesh strap also use to come off regularly and yesterday I was unlucky to loose it completely. Fitbit need to look at the design. Looks good but not fit for purpose. Devastated I have lost it for good this time. Not sure whether I should reinvest in a new one?? I have been a Fitbit user for 9 years.

I lost mine in the garden but luckily
found it - but, eventually lost it completely / it fell down the toilet and got flushed away . Fitbit replaced it but not the gold strap! I wouldn’t buy one again
