It's hard to explain the issue succinctly so I'm sorry if the title is confusing.
I got my Luxe in September 2021, so it's not very old. Up until about two weeks ago the battery life was great - I had absolutely no problems and it very rarely died on me.
Now it seems to be dying every 2-3 days with no change in my charging habits. But the issue isn't just battery drain, it seems like the Luxe is displaying an incorrect battery level.
As example: I'll start a workout with the battery at 89%. When I finish the workout the battery will be at 85%. I'll go to shower and place the Luxe on the charger. A half an hour later, the battery will be displaying at 65%. If I check back ten minutes later, it will say the Luxe is fully charged. The battery level seems to be completely inconsistent.
As another example from just last night: I went to bed around 11pm. I checked the battery before going to sleep and it was at 65%. When I woke up at 7am my Luxe was completely dead. I put it on the charger and it immediately displayed a charge of 53%. I checked the app and it said the last sync was at midnight and that the battery level was 'empty.' It is now 7:55am. The Luxe has been plugged in for nearly an hour, and since 7:30 the battery level on the Luxe says 26%. Edit: it is now 8:03am and the display has jumped to saying it is 92% charged.
I have done multiple resets, I have tried charging it for 8+ hours. Nothing has changed. It's getting very annoying as I never know if my Luxe is actually charged or not. I don't see any update options so it's not clear to me what has happened or why this sudden change. Up until two weeks ago it could hold a charge for 3-5 days, depending on what I did, and now I cannot figure it out.

I’d be curious to know the reply to this. I have the same issues with my luxe and it’s becoming a rather annoying thing to have to charge it so often

I’m having EXACTLY the same problem. Seems like an issue that a patch from Fitbit could address. My Alta HR lasted 3+ years and this luxe hasn’t even made 2 years. And I’m a careful user.

The inconsistency is what bothers me more than anything! Saturday night it went from 65% to zero in an hour. Sunday night it went from 76% to 2% in about 10 hours. And then after I charged it to full Sunday morning, it lasted all day Sunday, all day Monday, and when I put it on the charger to shower this morning it was at 53%!
So it loses 65% in an hour while I'm sleeping, but only 47% over two full days of activity and two nights? It just doesn't make any sense.

I'd say I'm a pretty careful user too, and I don't think I use it in an aggressive, battery-draining way either. I don't get notifications from my phone, I'm not checking it constantly during the day or anything. I charge it every time I shower. I clean it regularly. I've never gotten it wet or dropped it or done any damage to it. It shouldn't be on its last legs!

Hi all,
My Luxe has only increasingly gotten worse. It continues to die at completely random intervals, and is no longer capable of vibrating as any vibration just shuts it right off - hitting 10,000 steps, 150 active minutes, all alarms cause it to immediately shut down regardless of where it says the battery level is.
I've been in touch with Fitbit Support who provided this link about how to extend battery life (all of which I have already done) and then told me to charge the device, sync it to the app and use it as normal. They said there are no other troubleshooting options, which is obviously very disappointing as these are barely troubleshooting steps to begin with.
It seems the only option is to replace, which is too bad as it is not even two years old. But just thought I'd let everyone know what I've been told!

This is such a pity. I personally know at least two other luxe users with the same battery/random shut down problems. One is completely done with Fitbit because of this and I may be joining her.

Hi, I’ve started having the same problem
with mine recently. Then in the last couple of days my luxe appears to be dead as doesn’t respond when tapped. so put it on charge and it says battery 74% or 56% for example figures. So take back off charge and my luxe responds again for a short time then does it again. I also got mine in 2021 at Christmas.

Honestly I was pretty disappointed with the lack of troubleshooting advice. I know that I'm out of warranty, and I understand that, but it's kind of brutal that there aren't any solutions offered other than to buy a new one. I don't want to have to replace the device, I'd rather repair it.

Yes exact same just started with mine, I feel if Fitbit can't fix they should at the very least give 50% of a new one!
