Any diabetics using the FB?

Wondering if there are any diabetics out there who are using the FB and working towards weight loss?  I'm insulin dependent and trying to lose weight but more importantly trying to regain my health and physical strength while balancing everything.  A challenge a day! Love to hear your stories....

Yay for you!!!! This eating right & exercising really has something to it. Fitbits have really made an impact on my life.
Any idea how to extend the length of time notifications stay on screen on Charge2?  It is gone before I can get my glasses out!

Unfortunately, there is no way to change that time - it is built into the tracker, and not an option to change.

Hi Guy I am Ray and I have been type 2 diabetic since 1985 and finally I am getting a lot better control over it.  One thing I have learned is that no one program works for all. You need to try different things and see how it does for you and you alone. Over the years I have tried all the weight loss programs and I have found out that a lot of the specialised programs (medifast) once you venture off of them the weight comes right back and sometimes it makes you worse.  One program that is really working for me is a program called "The Whole 30". Best part about it is that all the program consist of is eating natural food only. Hardest part about it is you MUST read labels and do your own research.

If you want to be friends that would be great as it does make it easier to make it thru.  Let me know what you want to do.

I am one. I have been diagnosed with diabetes about eight years ago. Until this year I was not dependent on insulin. I am also trying to use my fitbit charge 2 to help with losing weight. I got it on black Friday and have lost about 5 lbs slowly since then using the calorie counter on the fitbit. I have also started going to the gym on a regular basis. Going to the gym and doing cardio, walking on the treadmill for longer time periods of time, 20 minutes plus seems to help control my blood sugar spikes. I have also started using the recipes on the fitbit blog. Hope this helps you.

It took me 13 years to get control too. Lost 45 pds. Being 67 years old is a big factor why I am still on insulin.
So two things to do as a prediabetic. Take a class
Learn to eat right. And exercise.
I gave up fast foods and all soda. 4 years so far.
Good luck to you all. It is a fight every day . And I love Food.

@Norma-m: if you are talking about Fitbit challenges, all you need is friend people you want to invite to your challenges. You can do so without knowing their e-mails.

Let’s say you want to friend @andi1: you click on her handle, then click on the Go to Fitbit.com profile link:

After which you can click on the + Add Friend button:
