Hello fellow fitbitters,
I am pretty new here, but I love my Flex and the motivation it has given me so far. I have decided to challenge myself further by starting this thread for a challenge for the month of August. My challenge for the month of August will be to lose a minimum of 5 lbs., maintain at least 10k steps per day, and continue to log my food on a daily basis. Your challenge can be whatever you want it to be. Please feel free to share and we can motivate each other throughout the month and share our results.
I am new here!! I just got my fitbit last week, and am loving it. I would love to join your August challenge. My goals are to maintain at least 10k steps per day, log my food into MFP on a daily basis, drink a minimum of 64 oz of water per day, and lose at least 5 lbs.

I wound like to lose 10 lbs.( or 10% of my body weight which would be 18 lbs or more) if I can this month. The 10 lbs is a must. More is great. I am new to this, I was given fitbit ae a gift and love it. The sleep is going to be used to show dr. I am not sleeing well. When I wake up I feel like I have run a marathon and am getting about 5 hrs. a night.
Even tho I've had my Flex for almost a year now, I'm in! I wear it daily, but the motivation has been lost. I need to lose about 10lbs as well, and will try very hard to maintain the 10,000 steps a day. I log into MFP as well, but I'm finding that is getting boring. Maybe it's just me. I do the same things every day. I basically eat the same foods every day. I am bored with my work outs. Hopefully this will motivate me, and get the pounds off that I need. Our daughter gets married in October, so I would really like the 10lbs gone by then!
August challenge
I'm in with you, my goal will be to try and walk the 10,000 steps and try and loss 5 pounds. We can do it. My biggest problem is my food intake, at lunch time I don't plan my meals so I buy lunch almost everyday. For the month of August I will bring a bag lunch.

Hi CindyS! Sometimes it is good to shake things up a bit. I'm always on the lookout for new cal friendly foods and recipes. I just started exercising again when I got the Flex and I try to vary stuff along with the walking. I have even been varying the type of walking that I do. Sometimes it is walks in the neighborhood or a local track. Sometimes it is treadmill or pole walking or walking the long hallways at work or even walking in place. What type of exercising have you been doing? I just realized that there are many exercise videos on Youtube such as Leslie Sansone Walking (1-5 miles), Zumba, etc.
