I'm in. I've been working my way up, and I'll have plenty of days off during shutdown, so let's set something that will push me.

Your 20k step goal really is amazing and is inspiring me to keep my goal up and raise it mid month in order to increase the chances of me hitting my new years eve goal. Keep up the good work, safe stepping!!!

@almost_where - 20,000 a day will be a serious push for me. Some days I come home from work at the 8000-9000 level and those days aren't as hard. 15,000 would have been a safe, easily achievable goal. LOL - I still haven't set my goal higher than the initial 10,000. I'm off work from the afternoon of the 22nd until the 3rd of January so I thought this would be a good way to make sure that I'm not a total couch potato during that time. Weekends aren't too bad because I just aim to do 1000 steps each hour that I'm up. So, if I do that 15,000 is simple - it's just a case of working in the extra, which I usually try to do early in the day. Week days I'm a slave to my work. Friday I was super busy so not a big deal, yesterday though I was less active and ended up baking last night (so far too much being stuck in one place).
Come January though I'm going to focus more on calories burned than pure steps. If I look at the days I hit 20,000 steps (and I rarely get much over that) I show a calorie burn of between 3790 and 4682. So how I get those steps done can burn 20% more - I want to focus more on the calories burned number (ie. work harder and not focus just on the steps).
