Hi everyone!!

Not sure where everyone is in the world but here in Ontario Canada I have had enough of winter!!! Another storm coming our way this evening… I

Thankfully I lost this week -- 1.3 pounds!!! -- so that cheered me up a bit.Smiley Happy  I was hit (literally!) with a head cold earlier this week and I upped my calorie count a bit -- just to give my body a bit more energy to fight off the cold.  Seems to have worked -- cold is almost gone and I lost my planned 1 pound!

Still reaching my 10,000 steps goal every day but feeling tired and lazy -- cold and winter weather and bored with walking on my treadmill at night!   Finally, I am still trying to drink more water…. Getting there but still not a habit…Smiley Frustrated

CSW for this challenge 177.8 on March 27th

1st weigh in April 3rd 178

CW (April 10th) 176.7

GW for this challenge 169

UGW 165 (for June 30 -- the first day of summer vacation for me!)

My big challenge this week will be to keep it all going while I am out of town for work.

Please remember your fitbit isn't doing any of this for you it only assists. You are the one doing this because you want change. As a matter of fact I weighed the fitbit and it is actually doing the opposite by adding 30 grams to my weigh-in Smiley Happy

Good luck everyone!

Excellent point!  Gotta take that sucker off for weight-ins. Another big offender is wet hair! It can add ounces if wet, especially if a lot of hair..some people might gain a pound of water 😉

@Samalama217 no way! lol I love the plan but I'm not overpaying for the protein powder lol

I use the SixStar 100% Whey Isolate protein powder, has been working just fine. 🙂

@Elansc I know what you mean about the Ontario weather. Keep wondering if Spring will arrive. It's gorgeous out today but the snow is still showing because of yesterday's snowfall. I'm heading down to London on the weekend and hope it's nice enough for walking. Congrats on the 1.3 weightloss!!

LOL... I weigh in the morning when I get out of bed, have used the bathroom and removed my night clothes prior to putting on day clothes...  I get a more consistent weight that way.  This wouldn't work if I was using one of those fancy scales that measure body fat% since you need to be hydrated to get accurate body fat% using electronics...

Hi All! Smiley Happy

So, another week of maintaining. Getting a bit frustrated but I guess it's not all bad. I would have really liked to have seen some more progress this week but never mind.

I was looking at my Fitbit app, trying to figure out what could have prevented the scales moving down this week, I've been exercising & felt like my workouts were more effective this week, but then I looked at MyFitnessPal app & that made it a bit clearer. On my exercise days my cals in v. out were fine but on almost all my rest days I was over my cal allowance, sometimes not by much but on a few days I was over by quite a bit Smiley Embarassed.

I think those particularly bad days may have set me back, I tracked my food everyday & looking back I perhaps didn't make the healthiest choices lol! I didn't have take out or eat massively unhealthy dinners but I did demolish a tub of Ben N Jerry's & had a few beers whilst watching the golf, stuff like that which pushed my cal count over, so I think my lack of control when it came to snacking let me down.

But not to worry, onwards & upwards.

This week my Husband has been away so it's been an odd one, I've stuck to my exercise routine though & not let the fact that I'm missing him get the better of me when it comes to snacking. I've been making the conscious effort to cook more fresh food & I've had a lot of fun with that this week, made some fro-yo, some oatcakes & a few yummy dinners from my new fav cookbook that I will try again with the Husb when he's home. Smiley Happy

For those of you who might be interested the cookbook is called 'Simplicious' & it's by Sarah Wilson. I love it!

So yeah, hoping that being more careful with what I eat & avoiding unhealthy snacks might help push me in a better direction this week. Hope you all have great weeks & weekends! Smiley Happy

I realized I haven't checked in recently, so far the 15 day challenge has been going good! Can't complain with the results I've gotten, plus I've lost a few inches in areas of my body. Today is my son's 7th birthday...(cue the tears!) He woke up this morning and informed me since he's officially 7 today that means he'll be 8 soon....like woah kid, slow down, let's make it through this year before we go talking about you getting older and not being my little baby anymore lol

Hope you all have a great week!

Down almost 2 pounds this week!  I'm ecstatic.  I think I just had some water weight issues last week and it just took some time for my body to sort itself out.  I'm not used to averaging 1 lb. a week.  This is awesome!!!  The only things that I'm doing differently are that I'm not doing as many back-to-back cycling classes anymore (I think that was actually causing me to eat more), I'm only eating back 1/2 of the calories that I burn from working out, and I haven't been satisfying my sweet tooth as much.  Plus, I've always drank plenty of water, but I'm increasing that even more.  I'll drink 750 mL before dinner and it has REALLY made a difference in my snacking binges.  I'm too full of water to even contemplate snacking.  I hope I can keep this up!

@awood08  I just saw with that program that you have to drink a GALLON of water every day?  I love water and all, but that's too much, even for me.  That really turned me off.  Whatever I've been doing has been working so far, so I think I'll leave that program all to you. lol.

That's the worst part by far, I feel like I'm going to float away. Not even going to lie, I don't drink a gallon every day. I was never a big water drinker before and now, I still have trouble even getting 60 ounces in a day. lol

Congrats to everyone who's sticking with it and seeing their numbers go down! It's inspiring!! Especially as I am getting frustrated not being able to break 150. I've been stuck too long hovering there, but I know it's because I've become lax in keeping track of my calories or sticking with them when I do. I'm taking a scuba certification class this weekend, and am guessing getting the ole' swimsuit on will kick start me back into being more diligent!!

Keep up the great work!

Started the 'gallon' challenge on Sunday (carting around and drinking a gallon of water per day!), trying to stick to the Dr. Oz day-off diet with very little cheating, and I managed to GAIN weight!  UGH!  Not happy.

Another one bites the dust Smiley LOL !!!

The goal challenges on my phone is really helping to motivate me to get more steps in.  I find myself doing 1 to 2 miles each night on the TM to help keep me in the top 3 rankings.  The rest of this week should be beautiful & sunny here in Ohio and I'm definitely looking forward to getting in some lunch time walks. I have the Jillian Michaels Shred dvd that I plan to start incorporating every other day....starting tonight. I am feeling FANTASTIC!!

I am so close to hitting my first 5% loss milestone.  It WILL be mine next week!! Smiley Very Happy
