GNC Products

I'm looking for a weightloss supplement that has been proven to work. I am almost 60 pounds over weight and i would like to get it off before the end of next year. I know diet and exercise is the best way to lose weight, but i love my chocolate cake lol. Has anyone used any GNC products for weightloss? If so, what were your results?

There's no wonder product that will make you skinny.  It'll always take work (mental and physical).  Have the cake, just less of it.  Count calories!

No supplements are proven to work. Don't waste your money on them.

Along with diet and exercise, I take FitMiss supplements once a day before lunch. I take the FitMiss Burn. It's kind of a all in one supplement - hunger suppressant really does work and make you feel fuller sooner, and it helps keep water weight down which is why I started using it. I got mine at Walgreens for a pretty good price.

You didn't gain 60 pounds from chocolate cake alone. If chocolate cake is the one unhealthy item that you have the hardest time getting rid of, keep (some of) it, but focus on other unhealthy items that would be easier for you to discard. Maybe it's soda, pizza, donuts whatever. The bottom line is no magical supplement will offset the effects of your chocolate cakes (or, more generally, of a poor diet).

Regarding which supplements to take (if any), have a look at this short video.

Slowly incorporate fruits (banana, apples,..).. protein (yoghurt, lean meat (fish, chicken, eggs..).. whole grains (bread,..), try aiming at 50% vegetables at dinner,..

Fruits, vegetables, protein,.. keeps feeling full for longer (eating less overall) allow yourself to eat anything you want but in moderation:

Instead of eating several of, just take one and eat slowly, notice how it taste and less tempted to take another one.

Try listening to your inner self what food it truly desires (what the mind wants may not be what the body really wants).

If wanting a cookie, allow yourself to have one. When wanting a pizza, go for it! In moderation, when eating healthier overall, a cookie, or a not 'so healthy dinner' is perfectly fine. When first the body wants a cookie but eating something else first, eventually reaching out for that 'cookie' but if first having eaten the cookie, then its likely to not have eaten the other food leading to eating more calories then the body is asking for.

By eating more natural food (not prepackaged or prepared), the body will in time be craving for the healthier alternatives more since it prefers these, but also when having a craving to eat a waffle, a chocolat bar,.. allow yourself to have it or it can lead to cravings / binge eating and eating more of it next time.

Never skip breakfast, when not feeling hungry in the morning, eat just a little so the body knows you'll provide it with food, and otherwise can stop sending hunger signals, decreasing appetite, thinking there's a shortage of food supply, start using muscles as energy instead and holding on to it's 'body fat supplies'.

Try stopping eating when feeling comfortably satisfied (but not full!), eat slowly to become more aware when eating, notice and enjoy the taste. When food begins to taste 'bad', it's a signal of the body having enough and doesn't need more, also possible that having a certain feeling which innerly says having enough like when not feeling the need to eat more, while there's still food on the plate.

When not being certain being still hungry at for example dinner, stop, and after 20 minutes when there's a feeling of needing to eat a bit more, it's possible to eat a little bit more.

When getting a craving, means that the body didn't had enough by the food what was provided, it's a natural way of making sure it gets the nutritients it needs.

Try eating smaller portions throughout the day also helps to prevent being over hungry and could lead more to eat more at (dinner, lunch..) and actually eating more than truly needed.

Keep in mind that the body will go back to a natural weigh determined by (genetics, food eaten (healthier, non healthier or in between), exercise,..) but there's a limit which the body fights for to stay at it's happiest weight range.

When gaining muscle, it's possible to stay at the same weight, or having a higher weight than before due muscles are denser than fat.

More importantly is becoming healthier (changing food habits, exercise when wanted,..), when getting back in tune with the body (not the mind), eating back naturally and eating the unhealthier things in moderation, the body will go back to it's natural weigh range when eating normally. Honor the signals when feeling satisfied with the food eaten to not eat more than the body wants and feeling overly full.

When not restricting any food, allow yourself anything to eat, in moderation reduces cravings, binge eating, if restricting for let's say a longer time, then the body will desire a certain food so much that it's possible to eat plenty from instead of having allowed yourself a piece from when it previously asked for.

Eating 'junk food' only doesn't make the body feel satisfied and can still be hungry because its missing nutritrients, however when starting eating natural foods in general, it's possible to still feel satisfied if having a pizza for dinner), yesterday personally ate a pizza but overall try eating natural food and felt satisfied even with having the pizza) 'cause of providing the body with the nutritients its asking for in general.

Try limiting the foods which has names on the labels it's not possible to pronounce, it's ok to have once in a while but try aiming for non processed food / non pre-packaged food mostly since those are more healthy for the body.

As last, don't rush everything, change food habits by one thing at a time (replace a cookie by a piece of fruit, when eating a cookie which comes with 3 in a package, eat only 1 or 2..

Allow your body to get used to the new food habits, to exercise (slowly build up exercise and allow to have resting days so muscles can grow / becoming stronger. The weight / body fat decrease will automaticly follow. Smiley Wink

I tried every possible brand of shakes and pills to aid in weight loss but they eventually cause a rebound when you go back to eating regular food. Not to mention that some products cause some strain on your kidneys and liver.

My recomendation @KatieQueen303 is to skip the purchase of any external products and try only counting calories and workout.

Best of luck on your adventure, we're here for you! Smiley Very Happy
