Halloween to Thanksgiving Challenge 2015

Hello everyone! Welcome to the Halloween to Thanksgiving Challenge!!!

This challenge will begin on Halloween October 31st and finish on Thanksgiving November 26th. This is a little less than 4 weeks so try and be realistic with your weight loss goals so you don't feel discouraged if you don't hit your mark.  

 

All you need to join this challenge is to post your stats regarding your weight, and check in weekly or as often as you'd like. We are a great support group and enjoy keeping up with each other and being there for our ups and downs.

A little rundown of terminology for anyone who is new.

 

USW- Ultimate Starting Weight

CSW- Current Starting Weight

GW- Goal Weight

UGW- Ultimate Goal Weight

PW- Previous Weight

CW- Current Weight

Ok, so I am not celebrating the 0.4 loss, but the turn from 262.4 the morning after Halloween and the 25,000 steps the first 2 days of November.  I am trying to increase my steps from 10k to 12k/day this month.

Really excited about this challenge!! Started walking on my 30 minute lunch breaks at work. Started eating according to the 21 Day Fix plan and will soon start the excercise plan. I also am doing the C25K 3 days a week. I am a few months from turning 42 and I really need to get into shape.

Good morning! Hope you're all having a good week so far.

 

I was very pleasantly surprised when I hopped on the scales this morning, I think there were a few contributing factors that helped, but I'm down 2lbs from my last weigh in. I have been pushing myself harder in my workouts & being more careful with what I eat so I think that may have helped as well as I have been slacking a bit when it comes to my diet recently Smiley Frustrated

 

Struggling with healthy dinner ideas as we approach winter so need to be more proactive in my recipe search I think... will be fun to try some new meals though.

I didn't quite make it to my Halloween goal as I've been slacking a bit on the healthy eating and exercise over the past couple of weeks. I'm determined to make this one though!

I'm game! I never really wanted to join these before, but after finishing my last Whole30 and losing 17 lbs, I'm up for it! I'm doing Whole30 round 2 this month as well, so we shall see!

@MRose  Great job on the whole 30.  I have done that a couple of times too.  It really helped me to gain focus and eliminate some of those old patterns of snacking every weekend and such.  (Never done it twice in a row though!)

 

I am having a tough time getting back to normal after vacation.  I really feel it now when I am not on plan.  I just feel like crap!!!!  I have a good plan for today though with all my food planned out and ready to go.  (Fish and veg for lunch, and Zuccini pasta for dinner)  For exercise I am going to try and take my dog for a good long walk today, and maybe go for a run if I get time.

Well, I'm not down much this week, but it's still down! I've started going for my runs/walks at lunch and if I have time after work and after walking my dog I go for another one. Now that it's getting darker earlier I may have to switch it up to going in the morning and at lunch, we'll just see. I still haven't been doing great at the diet, but I just need to refocus and get back on to it. I'm in multiple workweek hustle challenges and that is really helping me to get my steps in every day.

So far, so good. I upped my cardio thanks to some crazies i started a weekday challenge with and that is helping. Also getting rid of the dang halloween candy is a big help. It also made the kids super happy when they got my bearpaw full of candy in each of their trick-or-treet bags. 🙂

I actually weighed on Tuesday, just haven't posted the update.  I managed to lose 0.2 lbs even spending all day Saturday floating in a pool drinking mudslides and eating pizza at an all inclusive resort on a day pass.  I have gotten back in the swing of things eating more appropriately and going for runs every other evening.  I finished my C25K program, so I've started working on a 10k program.  I'm hoping next week will show my hard work.  🙂

Well fresh out of the Halloween challenge, i made my goal for that one. Although happily dropped a few lb's past the previous goal from 290 down to 273 ( a day after halloween). and I am ready to continue pushing for the rest of the year. I have still been struggling with foot injuries and had my first attempt at acupuncture yesterday in my legs to try to help it out, I am unsure if my foot is better from it or if it is just the rest of my leg being sore from the needles, but I shall remain optimistic about the whole thing. I will find a way to handle this and get back to my love of swing dancing more then once a week. (even if it means take a few weeks off and just living in the water at the local swim lanes)

I would like to join this challenge.  I recently challenged myself to 100 days of fitness.  I am currently on day 17 and doing well.  Im down 9 lbs. 

 

I have had alot of trouble losing weight after menopause and Im a bit leery of putting a goal down for this challenge but I did.  My ultimate goal is to stay active, everyday, for 100 days.    I will check in here and hopefully get to know some of you.  Good luck everyone!
