Have you lost weight since you got your Fitbit?

I am the exact same weight as I was when I got my Flex 3 1/2 months ago!

How about you?

I'm hoping with Spring here and Summer around the corner, that my walking will increase.

You might want to watch this interview with Dr. Jason Fung. Weight loss is
about
far more than calories, which is why most diets fail. Dr. Fung talks about
the metabolic response to food, which most people and even doctors don't
consider.

Over a period of 3 years, I am down 34 lbs.  My BMI is still 26.3 so I have a long way to go yet but I am slowly making progress.

Over the last three months I have managed to use this time of shelter at home/ work from home to go from 198 Lbs to 160 lbs and have since decide to gain a little back in muscle to stabilized at 174 lbs.  I accomplished this by watching what I eat to a more disciplined level which includes substituting most but not all meat with Beyond Meat and eating more vegetables and fruits in general.  I have also set up an exercise room in my home where I keep an exercise diary to chart every workout I do, and record it using my fitbit of course.   I also keep track of my calorie intake in the fitness journal.    My measurements have gone from 41-38-40 to 43-34-39.  So this shetler at home thing is really working out for me, which I wouldn't have guessed it would have before hand.

Way to go. Stay true. I have changed my eating habits also. Down 20 pounds. Took 3 months. I am happy with that.

Actually no I reached my goal so I Am fighting the battle to maintain and walking a lot of miles, usually between 40-50 miles a week, occasionally higher, in recent weeks I had 68 miles in one week
my highest yet. I’m coming off a minor knee injury so I was slowed for a couple weeks but back at it now😀👍

Wow!  Good job you have done.  But I worry about how long you can keep up with so much exercise and feeling that is what it takes to maintain your weight.  I wonder if you would find it a lot easier just to eat less flour and sugar.     Best wishes

Thanks Dave, I confess while there are sometimes I feel more like hiking than other days but I don’t consider it hard work, it’s more a matter of mindset I guess . I find it great therapy to hit the road, maybe with headphones maybe not and just let your mind float, go where it wants to go. Sometimes I work out a detail of a piece of furniture I’m working on, simply enjoying a beautiful day.

I love that you stated a  "over a period of 3 years" I had my Fitbit for a year before I even attempted any weight loss. It made me very aware of my movement patterns and I started my weight loss journey this year. I will be on it for the rest of my life because once I get the excess weight off I will need to maintain that weight loss to remain healthy or at least to fight off the challenges of aging. Fitbit for Life!

5 weeks with FitBit Charge 3. Lost 8 lbs. 3.9 to go to hit my first goal which is to drop 12 pounds.  Very pleased with what it tracks and the firework display when I hit 5000 steps for the day. 😊 👍 👣 💃

Yes definitely! I lost 30 kilogrammes a few years ago and my weight was slowly creeping up. Then Corona hit, I had to start working from home and that put a considerable dent in my daily exercise (nothing special, biking to work, walking a lot and taking the stairs). I feared the consequences and bought a Fitbit and hometrainer. The latter was quickly sold again, it's sooo boring, but by then I had discovered fitness, which turned up to be more up my alley.

The Fitbit is a great motivator forcing me to do exercise and combined with logging food in Myfitnesspal I'm losing weight. Almost back to my original goal and going a bit further this time 😁
