Izzy Welcome. Way to go already losing weight. The HIIT keeps your metabolism high for hours after so that is great. Set a reasonable goal for Labor Day as it is only 8 weeks away. With a 750 cal deficit each day most peeps lose 1.5 lbs a week x 8 wks =12 lbs. Men tend to lose a little faster so with 2 lbs x 8 =16.
Wishing you success.

Yesterday I hit a personal best with 10 miles logged for the day! For me, i think it is all going to come down to the eating. On the virtual hike, I made 100 miles yesterday (thats why i pushed for the 10, I wanted to post my 100 mile marker LOL). If anyone hasnt seen it, another thread suggested a site called walking4fun. You can connect with your fit bit and it will track your progress on one of many choices of hikes. At milestones, you get pics from hikers on the actual trail. I am currenlty on the PCT. A couple of other people are on it too so we can encourage each other. The thread is called virtual hike with an outdated date...check it out if you like, pretty cool 🙂

Just checked out the walking4fun website. I have a niece who is currently walking the PCT so of course that is the one I signed up for. I'm excited! Thanks for sharing the info about the website.

Yeah Izzy
No need to compare to others that do more exercise, just enjoy your progress. I did 3.3 today since the PT told me to rest my leg if I want the tendonitis to heal. You are on your way with a working Charge and moving toward greater health.

I signed up, too. It was super-easy. I chose the Scottish Highlands, because I hope to go there someday.

I signed up and choose the Scottish highlands too because I have some Kennedy and Campbell ancestors from Scotland it turns out. I'd like to go there as well. Curious about it so hope to get there. Didn't figure out what to do exactly yet with the site. Well been sitting too long so off for a walk.

I am only one day ahead of you, but here's what I know. If you have linked your Fitbit to the site, then when you log on, it will show you how far you have gone on the route. And there are pictures to show you where you walked that day. I think you will find it fun. Good luck.

Very organized and impressive. But I'm curious, are you not eating dinner? Good luck to everybody this week.

Hi Sandpiper,
Thanks. I went to walk4fun and linked up so I viewed the first 2.4 miles. It will be a slow journey as I'm supposed to take it easy to heal my tendonitis. What is the rush I'm in the land of some ancestors long ago.

Doing well....husband said the most awful "t" word yesterday!! TREAT!! My local grocery store had chocolate covered bananas and I was looking at them - checked out the nutritional info and then he said, "but these could be a treat". I AM NOT A DOG - I don't get treats!! One of the reasons I'm 213 is because of treats. Oh, I don't eat these everyday so I'm going to treat myself - became every day of the week, sometimes multiple times in one day. Oh, I don't have ice cream every day so this is a treat. Oh, we don't celebrate birthdays every day at work so I'm going to have this cake as a treat. Oh, I've never seen this candy before - TREAT. TREAT TREAT TREAT TREAT TREAT.
I can't reward myself w/food!! I have to reward myself by feeling great! Having more energy. Looking better! Buying new clothes because old ones don't fit!! My health is the ultimate treat!!
Happy Monday, ya'll!!
