Hi Kim and Bobbi
Thanks for the support. Why wait to dance Kim? Good way to get steps even at home. Cha cha and salsa burn up those calories.
Hope that you both have a great Sunday.

My first goal was 150 lbs by July 4th which I met! Now I decided to lose another 10. I am 60 years old and I think the last time I weighed under 150 was over 30 years ago! I walk 3 miles every day, and I dance with my granddaughter for warmups. One song is at least 400 steps.

Sew,
Congrats on your loss already.
I have the Charge and sometimes it does registers too many flights of steps. Weird. It has an altimeter built in that records a flight of stairs every 10 ft of height. We still get step credit if our arm with the Fitbit on is moving as we go up or down. I think when walking up a hill we get stair flight credit.
I like the HR function that we can check when exercising.
Enjoy your day,
Barbara G

Arley,
Congrats on your loss. Good for you waking up and stopping yourself at 4000 cals. You are building the awareness skill to catch yourself before you go too far on automatic pilot. Keep up the mindfulness of everything you eat and you will make your goals.
I have to stay aware about procrastination as I go into automatic pilot to avoid paperwork.
Let's keep trekking,
Barb

Good morning everyone!
I am just back from a 10 day vacation with a few days of yoga retreat thrown in. It was wonderful and our hosts fed us PLENTY, but even though I ate fairly well I still tried to keep it at a reasonable level. Had ice cream (but not every day) and surprisingly still lost a good 3 lbs!
What really surprises me is that I have lost a total of 48.4 lbs since Jan 1. I never ever ever thought this was possible or that I could do it.
5.6 lbs to go and more than a month time for my Labour Day Goal. Should be possible.
Have a great start in the new week everybody!

Congratulations!!! It feels amazing, doesnt it? 10 or 15 lbs can make such a big difference in how you move and feel - I couldnt believe that I was actually able to do the "downward dog" at yoga this weekend. I was never able to hold my weight on my wrists. And now it's possible... at least for 2-3 breaths. 🙂
Yay for you!!!!

I've been getting and reading everyone's posts. They inspire me to keep going. I am 60 yo and just re-entered the exercise world. I sed to ben avid walker in the 90's. My goal right now it to get below 150 by exercising and eating guten free, low carb, clean and fresh and three meals a day plus all water and no sodas. I won't kick myself for cheating but "step" it up a bit. Also, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia but did not like the drugs and did not beleive the diagnosis so I researched and found vitamins to help the deficiencies and started exercising. I started wtih swimming and now walking. My current step goal is 5000 and I can reach that pretty easilly. The other day I had over 11,000 steps on a hike and the only problem was heat without water! I want to add biking in as well. Mayb
SW = 158
CW = 157 (hey iyts a pound in a week)
GW = 150

Thanks for your updates group. They inspire me to keep going.

Joyful Eagle,
Glad to read that you are taking your own health care into your own hands. Stay hydrated tho'. I hope that you can reverse the symptoms of fibromyalgia.
Best,
Barbara G
