Hi all,
Everyones posts are so inspiring. Everyone seems to be sticking to their goals and are going to be pretty successfull come halloween. I have to pick up my game a little. I am committed to eating 5 times per day and all whole good food. The past few days I have not eaten all my snacks, and my meals havent been as good as they could have been. I am going to go do groceries after my meeting this morning. Then I am going to preprepare some meals for this week. My sister is coming for a visit and it is good to have stuff arround to keep me consistent. She is a vegan with some very specific likes and dislikes. It actually makes it pretty tough to stay on plan while she is here, so having some pre-prepared stuff will make my life easier. I never have any problem with exercise or activity while she is here. We both love to run, and kayak, and paddleboard..... We will have a ton of stuff to do I am sure.

Sooo close to 199 for you. Your 6 pack is just hiding and with lots of exercise you will find it.
You are getting healthier and that counts too.

Hi Bobbinyc and great challengers,
I'm sliding back as I'm dancing less. I hurt my hip muscle doing pilates exercises with practioner who gets me into weird contortions to stretch and strengthen. So I'm limping less today but yesterday was ridiculous with a cane and so much pain on stepping that I just sat on ice for hours. Today it is less painful and I'm limping only a bit and retired the cane by noon. I did teach my 2 classes this morning in part sitting down.
So less active, fewer steps, less dancing, eating a little more good food, = gained 3.5 lbs!!! Eeeek.
So I'm at 136.5 today and really not fretting about it. I just want my hip muscles to work better. I can get back to 135 or 4 by Halloween.
Nice to read about so many people's loss and success.
Keep up the good work.

Oh no Barb!
I hope you are feeling even better today. Hip muscles are the worse to have a strain since you use them so much and for pretty much everything! You have been so dedicated and inspirational for us, I think you will be just fine.

I took a small dip down to 192 and then bounced back up to 193. Actually it was 194 after a night out with friends we hadn't seen in a long time and I had a calzone (it was almost worth it with how good it tasted! lol). I have a bachelorette party this weekend out of town for one of my good friends and I know everyone will be partying, drinking, eating, etc....i'm going to try my hardest to enjoy myself without indulging. Gotta focus and work a little harder to drop these last 3 by next weekend 🙂

@dancefoxtrot Nice to see your posts. So sorry to hear about your hip. I'm glad it seems to be mending quickly. These minor injuries sideline us a bit and can be very annoying. I've certainly had my share. It just reminds me that our bodies need our care, and that strengthening them and eating well brings on quick healing. And I know that nothing could keep you down for long. You'll be doing that Tango in no time.

@awood08 You have been doing an amazing job. Look how much you have accomplished. For me, when life brings indulgences, I have to think about is it worth it. It tastes great, or it's part of the fun and how long will it take me to do the work I already did to lose the weight a second time. Odd how we learn to define fun with alcohol and unhealthy food. Maybe you can have a little less alcohol, eat a little less unhealthy stuff, walk a little more and still have a good time. Whatever you decide, I hope you have a memorable time.

Down another 2 lbs and survived that dance workshop weekend with a totally of around 12 hours of swing dancing spread over 3 days, everything hurts and I am ready to hit the pool again and just float around for awhile, diet suffered on the workshop weekend with all the eating out although I still managed a calorie deficit to match the abnormal spike in activity. Also I was very excited to pass my audition to make it into the advanced track for workshops after a year and a half! I was not expecting to make it in to that level, even though most of the classes were similar accross the different experience levels it was very flattering to be acknowledged as a more experienced dancer, that was the weekend triumph for me. The current week is mostly stretching and massaging feet and muscles to recover from the weekend but I think i can bounce back by saturday to hit the dance floor once again! I am also going to have my sleep apnea re-evaluated tomorrow to see if it has made much progress towards becoming less extreme, It was last tested when i was at my heaviest a year and a half ago I am hoping it has improved alot... it likely it is not gone yet, but i am optimistic if it has improved that if i continue to drop weight I may be able to cure it and be rid of my CPAP machine. Keep up the hard work everyone!

@Xakka Congrats on the dancing! That is terrific. I've heard that soaking feet in epsom salts helps - they have magnesium which relaxes muscles. And you have done an amazing job with the weight loss.
Good luck with the apnea. You are clearly on the right track.
