hey, my name is Rob, I'm using vitamins and capsule supplements. I always forget to take some of them and it's really hard to organize them. I've been using a pill box for couple of months and I'm still being confused. When I'm hiking through the night and during bedtime it is always a hard time to take my vitamins and supplements and to use them wisely. I would like to ask if there's a good way that I could use and improve my consuming? Thank you !

Welcome to the community, @RobMalane !
I would look at the issue by asking myself: do I really need all these pills, and could I get vitamins and other micronutrients from real food rather than as supplements. I suggest you have a look at this other topic about nutritional priorities: you will see that – according to experts – whether your focus is on health or performance / body composition, supplements only play a very minor role.

Hello,
I understand your problem, as a vegan who tries to maintain a life style of health and fitness, I take 4 to 5 different pills per day. Some apps could remind you and help with part of the problem. For the pillbox, I would recommend that you would search the web for something that suits you. I am still searching for a pillbox that will suit me.

why are you taking so many? if you take a multi vitamin you probably don't need half of what you are taking. are you taking some for targeted areas? I am prone to a vitamin D deficiency even with good nutrition and spending most of my time outside, so I take that. And I am very active and rough on my joints so I take that. The rest, I rely on my food to take care of me and so far.. so good.

They're pretty pricey, but there are pill dispensers with built-in reminders.
I find it easiest to take early in the morning, before I've had a chance to forget.

Hello, friend! Many people believe that dietary supplements are very harmful to health, but this is clearly a false statement. As for me, they helped me boost my immune system thanks to their vitamin content. After studying many sites with food additives, I came across the best site Bluebonnet ,which is a leader in the food Supplement industry. After trying their product, I really understood why they are leaders. They have been around for 18 years with the brand "We are proud to help a generation of health-conscious consumers like you become even healthier", and they strive to meet the individual nutritional needs and health concerns of all their customers. I'm glad I bought their products!

@NatalieParruvI don't think it's every too late for good advise like yours. There are all kinds of opinions on different web sites, and people have their own experiences and observations. But doctors should be the true source of testing and information for this kind of thing. Everything else is conjecture to some degree.

I really don't know why anybody advised you that, but I do. Maybe you will help some apps on your phone that would remind you. I never forget to drink my peptides and vitamins, because the result of my efforts is my body. Probably, I already have an association, because when I see my body in the mirror, I immediately remember about PAD-140. But my sister had the same problem as you. She forgot to do that until she started keeping a planning method, but in the modern time it isn't comfortable for everyone - to carry the notebook around and write all down, but the phone is always at hand. I hope it will help you. Good luck!

This is just a personal experience. More than that, not everything is good for everyone. Teng4 wrote that he is a vegan, so he takes 4 to 5 different pills per day as a person who tries to maintain a healthy lifestyle. But not just those who refuse protein products need supplements and additional vitamins. Indeed, we don't consume the everyday norm of essential minerals and trace elements that our bodies require. For example, we have to eat a bag of apples per day to get the necessary iron dose - this is unreal. So, such vitamins and supplements like lion's mane mushroom are essential to maintain your health.

Hi everyone!
I agree with @unningboy , not everything is for everyone. I think that before taking any supplements, you should see if you could take the missing vitamins, minerals , etc, with a meal. E.g. if you lack of Vitamin C, you could take orange juice or eat fruit with it!
If you cannot, due any intolerance or other factors, you should consult with an specialist. Normally you can ask in the pharmacy, and they can help you with that.
I saw on a TV series a joke about the supplements. If one doesn't need it, you'll be paying to have a very expensive pee!
Found it hilarious!
But if you need and/or want to take the supplements, I'd go to an specialist, to see what I'm lacking of, and ask for a recommendation there!
But if you want to be reminded to take your pills, you can use the alarm on your phone, Fitbit or as stated above, other apps that have that feature.
Keep on stepping

You need to set a reminder in your phone. This will make it easier for you to take supplements

Write this on a piece of paper, and hang the piece it is on the refrigerator. You will definitely not forget. You take supplements on the advice of your doctor or just to maintain your immune system? If you use supplements for immunity, then I can recommend sea moss. It can be taken with a meal, or simply applied to the skin. I take it with my meals every day and put it on my face. This sea moss helps to get rid of inflammation and puffiness on the face. I used to go around with big bags under my eyes and yellow skin all the time. After two weeks of using this moss, my face immediately transformed.

Hi Rob. I'd suggest you look for multivitamins capsules taken once per day. It's the easiest way to solve your issue. I recommend, first of all, consulting a physician because even if they are supplements, it doesn't mean they have no harm when unproperly used. Did you know that overtaking Vitamin C may lead to decreasing urine pH and increasing the risk of urolithiasis? A few months ago, I was prescribed fenbendazole https://www.fenbenlab.com/product/fenbendazole-powder/ for eradicating Giardia. I wasn't aware that it's forbidden to consume alcohol, and I was nearly to get a psychosis. I strongly suggest doing some research before taking any pill.

Rob, I look forward to my candy breakfast of half gummy vitamins and half pills. I have an aspirin in my little pile too, and sometimes I need that. Forget all this stuff other people said here. Make it pleasant and it will not be a problem.

I can't edit my reply above so let me say here........I chew up a gummy and swallow another regular pill or two with it. Maybe everyone does this?
