Motivation - Inspiration - Interesting Articles

Hi everyone.

 

I struggled with whether to put this on the Get Fit board or the Weight Loss one. I decided that since I feel I'm pretty fit (at least in my head), I'm more interested in getting to a weight that "the man" says I should be at, so I'm posting it here. 🙂 BTW, "the man" is whoever makes those height/weight charts.

 

I would like this thread to be a source of motivation and inspiration for anyone who reads it. Perhaps you will see a quote that you identify with, or find a link to an article that you find helpful or useful to you on your journey, or even read a story of someone dealing with the same issues you are - I just want it to be a thread to post postive and/or helpful stuff for other members of the FitBit Community.

The first thing I would like to share is a website.

 

I'm a very visual person. I like to see before and afters. And not faked before and afters, but before and afters of regular people just like me. 

 

I love looking at the transformations. It reinforces that I just need to stick with it. Sticking with it is always my problem. Always.

When trying to cut back on sugar, fructose is bad and glucose is good. I found this article helpful in deciding what kind of sweetener to use.

Eating three meals a day has been VERY effective for me as it relates to my urges & cravings to snack. I don't get hungry throughout the day like I did when I ate more often with smaller meals. 

 

The Five Rules of the The Leptin Diet:

 

Rule 1:  Never eat after dinner. 
Rule 2:  Eat three meals a day. 
Rule 3:  Do not eat large meals. 
Rule 4:  Eat a breakfast containing protein.
Rule 5:  Reduce the amount of carbohydrates eaten.
